  10. Blue Bird, This lead ban is hurting a lot more than just the Motorcycle industry. Bicycles with wheels under 26" are considered "toys" so they have to under go the same testing and certification to be lead free or they cannot be sold in the U.S.A. The U.S olympic BMX team rode 20" toys to the podium. My understanding of this is that EVERYTHING must now under go testing and certification to be considered for kids. Grips, tubes, spokes, bearings, tires, fenders, hose clamps. EVERYTHING! If one part doesn't pass certification then the whole bike, motorcycle, toy, whatever is denied certification. The big bike manufacturers are fighting this tooth and nail and it will eliminate the "boutique" builders from being able to make custom bikes for kids. Yep, this one sucks and could potentially hurt many companies. Even snowboard companies could be effected if they produce products for kids. Ink
  11. Thanks Pete! Good session yesterday. PCDenver, BalboaJeff, Tony, Kate, Arneburner, Concussed, Myself and another friend. Snow was good and the Tanker was fun. First day on it this season. Now I want a pow day on it! Ink

    Yo Lci!!

I will be ready at the WallyWorld parking lot across from our normal meeting place. Look for the TransVan :) Monodude I don't know how much room will be in Mario's vehicle but we are meeting at the Walmart at Evergreen Parkway and I-70 between 5:15 and 5:30. Shoot Mario an email to see what he has to say. If they will fit I am sure there won't be any problems getting those boards to Bryan. Ink

    Yo Lci!!

JustK posted and looks to be attending SES on Friday. Said we'd keep an eye out for her and to arrive early to get 8am lift access. Ink
  19. JustK, We'll look for you. Make sure to be there for early chair, 8am, on Friday. We get the goods before the public does. D.T., Big Mario and I will be there for Friday also. Ink The announcement from Fin: We have "First Tracks" at Ajax on Monday the 9th and Friday the 13th. You NEED to be there BEFORE 8:00am. For those who don’t know "First Tracks" is where we are able to load the Gondola before the public at get one fresh run from the top of the hill. It will blow you mind…..and your quads.
  20. bluesurf, It sounds more like a technique problem. Do a search on here to find the threads to fix heelside turns. The info in those will help you on your NS. I carve a NS 172 Premier with Malamutes and Flow Eleven bindings ontop of Palmer Plates without problem. Also you may want to move your stance a bit more to your toe edge so you are less likely to boot out heelside. No need to keep buying boards when the ones you have work well.
  21. That's pretty much what we thought. Thanks for the info. Good luck with RASTA. Ink

    Yo Lci!!

Yo, I usually get home about 5-530ish, however I can take my gear to work and go straight to the park and ride to meet you all. Let me know what time to be there. BTW, one of your shots looks like you were stung by a puffer fish. :) Breath, don't hold your breath. Ink
  23. Lee, Bummer, and it looks like the lower buckle has a little crack starting in the same place as the broken one. Check it too. :) Repeated flexing back and forth will weaken the metal. I would think that you could salvage some off old ski boots for a quick repair. Ink
  24. I had the DC Allegiance and thought they were stiff till I rode in them. Their design allows a smoother "hinge" point which makes them softer when in use. I switched to Malamutes and am much happier. I haven't tried the Driver-X but here that they too are stiff. It seems that Malamutes and Driver-X are the top choices here on the board. I don't know if you will find anything as stiff as a soft pair of hard boots. Like you said they are two different animals which cannot be compared easily. Deluxe made a stiff boot but sadly it is out of production. Ink
  25. You are probably right in the photo being training. The vid shows the same board when Ross gets off at the finish so the one that the seller is trying to claim as the Gold Medal winner would be incorrect. Ink
