  1. **SOLD** Need to make some room in the quiver for new toys. Selling my Alpinepunk Afterburner 182. TECH Length:182 cm Waist: 21cm Eff. edge: 160 cm Sidecut: radial with progressive flex 13,7 ≈ 10 m Medium flex for 165-220lb rider http://www.alpinepunk.com/ It's only been ridden twice since being tuned so the base and edges are pristine. 2. So the cuff straps have been cut but I don't think there was more than a half inch removed. yyzcanuc has them for CA$5, and looking at the photo of the new ones you can get an idea of what was cut off. Photo
  3. I will have to look at these tonight and get back to you on the shin straps. They belong to a friend so I don't know off hand. The ankle straps are not modified and are what came with the boots.
  4. If you don't find shells, I have boots I can sell for $250. http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=34190
  5. Try posting this on the Tahoe Carvers Facebook page.
  6. FYI - A crew from Reno will be riding at Bachelor on 2/19-2/21. 3 carvers + 2 skiers.
  7. I was given some info about Paleo when I joined my CrossFit gym so I read through it and decided to give it a try. I had done the south beach stuff years ago with success, just didn't stick to it for long, so it was a pretty easy transition.
  8. I have been eating Paleo for about 1.5 years, and have lost 50 pounds doing so. It was just a curiosity question since you are involved in nutrition.
  9. I have some Deeluxe boots, if you don't buy the others. Photos are in this post, Deeluxe
  10. Hi Michelle! So I looked at your web site a little and out of curiosity, what do you think about Paleo/Primal eating?
  11. A lot of years we get some of our biggest storms in March so it could be a powder day or spring riding conditions. We are off to a good start for the season. Rose has received over 100" so far. If you have the chance I would say stay and ride. Diamond Peak is only 10 minutes from the Hyatt. Mt Rose is only 10 miles away and we have a good amount of carvers at Rose.
  12. Yeah the only advertisement I saw for this was from the Sliding on the Cheap e-mail. I'm signed up to get them from the Pacific Northwest area just for situations like this. A group of us got this same deal during their 96 hour sale last year but decided not to buy when the 4 time pass was offered. That one is a good deal if you can use the bonus day too but that wouldn't work for us. I did e-mail the people at Bachelor to make sure my friend could buy these for me and he also said - "We’re not sure if/when we’ll do another online sale for this or a similar product this fall or early winter, but make sure you’re subscribed for the Buzz enewsletter to stay in the know!" I'll keep you posted on dates. It would be great if we could meet up.
  13. FYI for anyone around Eugene. I have a friend getting us the 3 day passes so the Reno crew will be back this season, probably sometime in Feb. ** MT. BACHELOR SEASON PASS SALE AT BERG'S ** WHERE: Berg's Ski and Snowboard Shop, Eugene OR WHEN: Oct. 26th 10am-9pm WHAT: The discounted tickets rates are over for Mt. Bachelor...or are they? Head down to Berg's Ski & Snowboard shop in Eugene where Mt. Bachelor reps will be there for questions, photos and selling discounted passes! $175 for a 4-Pack Pass, which includes a FREE bonus day if used on/before Dec. 21st. $99 3-of-5 day lift ticket. There's still time to save a Mt. Bachelor which as you know, they never discount so don't miss it! http://www.mtbachelor.com/winter/services_activities/activities/events/index.html/534706489
  14. I think it's the lack of crowds. It's less of a tourist trap since it's off the beaten path compared to the rest of the Tahoe resorts.
  15. The majority of the carvers I know from the bay area go to Kirkwood (Hwy 88), but if you go over I-80 you have access to all the west shore resorts: Squaw, Alpine, Northstar etc.
  16. Check out the Jet Lites. I got an F series from them last year and it is awesome. It's cordless with a small built in battery and I have the helmet mount. I used to have a nightrider but always had problems with it as did several friends. Jetlites
  17. Jeffrey, This is the place where the company that I work for gets plating done. Check out the web site and it even has an estimator feature. http://www.bendplating.com/ Good luck, Randy
  18. I have some Deeluxe Trak700T boots available. You can check them out here, http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=34190
  19. Hey all, just wanted to let the locals know that part of the Reno crew will be there to ride the 22nd to 24th. Let me know if anyone will be on the mountain those days. I'm bringing a posse of 3 carvers and 3 skiers. We want to carve but the long range forecast says there might be a decent storm that week, so we will pack out pow boards as well.
  20. Hey Ray, I sent you an e-mail. Let me know if you didn't get it.
  21. Did you get the e-mail I sent?
  22. Hey i have a pair of M23 to sell. got them for my friend last year and even bought brand new moldable liners for them. Turns out she needed an M24. Shoot me an e-mail at snowcarver70 at gmail dot com and I'll reply back with pics and a price. Randy
  23. That's too funny Boris! I did not have any input on the design though, this is the new look for all the boards. And it has the standard width. Scott, that is a sweet board but I don't think Gretchen is going to be able to flex it.
  24. I got a Super Swede a couple years ago but sadly broke it last season so this is the replacement. The one I had was AMAZING! This thing can rail a carve as well as my Donek FC11 but is versatile in any conditions from afternoon crud to powder. My older one did not have the rockered nose so this new one should be an even better ride and I'm told has even better edge hold. I've dropped 42 pounds (at 198 right now) since last season so hopefully I can still flex all my boards! Merry Christmas to you too Bryan
