  1. Scott's Surf and Turf works the best!
  2. Christmas came a couple days early! 192 Super Swede from Alpinepunk! African wenge top sheet with an ash stringer. New rockered nose and VSR averaging around 11m.
  3. Just placed my order. Thanks for doing this Alex!
  4. Mt. Rose is the closest to Reno at 30 minutes. It’s a smaller resort with fewer crowds than the bigger Tahoe resorts, grooming is good and it has fairly steep runs. Most other Tahoe resorts are 1 to 1.5 hours away. What Loc said is spot on although Alpine might be more crowded this year since they merged with Squaw. Kirkwood has great carving but is the longest drive. Several people like Heavenly but again too crowded for my taste.
  5. +1 for the Super Swede! I friggin love mine and can't wait for my new 2012 model to arrive. I think Jim should try the one Mats has in Aspen so he can give us a review between the SS and Hazelwood!
  6. Good point Scott. I had forgotten about this problem. When I first got mine the fingers were stuck together as well and when I would pull them apart there would strings of black sticky crap between them. I sent Thor and e-mail and got this for a response. "Yes, I know about the "stcicky fingers". The gloves have sat in a hot Texas warehouse too long. Anyway, here is the solution. Put some board wax in between the fingers. If you don't use any wax for your snowboard, then use chap-stick or some other type of lip balm. That should eliminate the problem."
  7. I have had these gloves for a couple of years and the material is very durable. I did have a problem with the stitching on one of the fingers though. They are not really warm gloves and require a liner as stated on the site. Anyone ordering these should also keep in mind that they are NOT waterproof and you will need to apply your own waterproof product.
  8. I have these Deeluxe Track 7ooT's available. Boots
  9. I wear a size 13 street shoe. Send me an e-mail at snowcarver70 at gmail dot com and we can try to set up a place to meet.
  10. Are you in Reno? I have the Head boots in a Mondo 29 that you could try on.
  11. I think most of us will meet you there Michelle, because that was funny!
  12. Hi Shawn, I'm selling these for a friend that moved away so I don't have any personal experience riding the 182's to pass along. I do know that there is a mix of people that are riding both soft and hard boots with the Tankers. These are the wider models and would probably work the best with soft boots for pow, woods chopped and corn snow conditions. Check out this review for some more info here.
  13. You will have better luck selling these if you post the actual size. Read this info here.
  14. I didn't know that others were doing a can fest. My buddies at one of our local breweries created the first International Canfest a few years ago. Reno Canfest CANFEST is Reno’s International Canned Beer Festival and home of the largest gathering of strictly canned beer in the world! CANFEST will take place inside the Silver Legacy Resort & Casino on November 12, 2011, It all started in 2009 when the owners of Buckbean Brewing Company came to the realization that the perks of canning beer are beyond what the public understands, and the most effective way to spread the gospel of canned beer would be to conduct a competition and tasting festival. Thus CANFEST was born, and the brainchild of Douglas Booth and Daniel Kahn brought more than 30 breweries from around the world to Reno, Nevada to take part in the biggest celebration of the canned beer revolution. CANFEST is back for its 3rd run of bringing delicious and well crafted canned beer to Reno. This year CANFEST is more than just one night of beer. It plans to be a weekend celebration with new perks, prizes, competitions, and of course, lots of hoppy goodness. Breweries from around the world who can their beers, including 21st Amendment, Anderson Valley Brewing Co, and Caldera Brewing Co., will come together in one room to drench the mouths of beer lovers.
  15. I have been enjoying this Ovila Dubbel lately. And it has a cool story behind it, it's basically a collaboration between the monks and Sierra Nevada Brewery with part of the proceeds going to restore an ancient monastery. The dubbel will only be around another month or so before they switch to the saison so try if if you can find it. More info
  16. Our pond skim event is this Saturday and the resort decided to build a double pond because last year was 'too easy'. So they say... I did not make it across last year but I blame that on too many shots of whiskey. This should be interesting!
  17. We have a 600' tall sand mountain just over an hour from here that is a big playground for dirt bikes, quads and sand rails. I used to take my Burton Air there back in the day. We would tow someone behind the quad with a ski rope to strip the wax and then go to the top and ride down. Crashing never really hurt but you got sand up your nose and in your ears. This was my only board at the time and I just waxed it and rode it the next winter. Repeated that for about 3 years.

  19. Price dropped from $80 to $50. I updated the title but I only see the change when I open the post for some reason.
  20. Regular heels with Thermo Flex liners, molded once. MP 24 The upper portion of the outer cuff was cut to allow the boots to close tighter for someone with skinny legs. You can see the mods in the picture. Diablo foot beds included. $325 shipped in the lower 48. E-Mail to snowcarver70 at gmail dot com
  21. I think they will fit a 27.5. With it adjusted all the way open there is 3" between the front of toe and bail with an M24 boot.
  22. I'm not sure on that but I will try to measure them.
