  1. Yes, it is. https://www.bomberonline.com/ Maybe give them a call or email: https://www.bomberonline.com/Contact-Us_ep_59-1.html
  2. Does T32 teach switch carving with ski poles? I need to learn.
  3. 31 is up there. You are up against the maximum width of available materials, unfortunately. Shorter radius = wider nose/tail. I like the sound of the 165cm, 9.5-11m. Ride higher angles!
  4. What is your boot size in mondopoint?
  5. Reluctantly selling this as it was the best board I had ever experienced at the time. 15m average KST sidecut. 21cm waist. Center inserts 53cm apart. Not a GS race board, has some hook in the tail for a positive finish to the turn, but can certainly be used in beer league GS. About $1800 invested, take it for $1000 shipped. Built in December 2020 for 87kg rider. Ridden for 3 seasons part time in combination with other boards, in good conditions. Has not been ridden this winter. Needs a tune. One grind and (edit - checked with my tuner, he never ground it) sharpen since new. 0.8º base bevel, 3º side bevel. Storage waxed. P-tex topsheet shows normal wear. Picture above was taken when new. Will take more pics later. Money back satisfaction guarantee.
  6. I suspect that "Secret" construction uses quasi-isotropic carbon fiber in place of Titanal. Could be something else, but q-iso cf is used by the military in applications where they need to replace metal. Last year I had two boards made by Winterstick using both q-iso cf and Titanal (and rubber) in both boards, and the results were noticeably superior. So much so that I'm selling my custom Kessler. I'm sure Donek could build you boards like this too, or Winterstick is a great option. Winterstick calls this the "kitchen sink" construction.
  7. Looks like the (mostly) right case is the next one down, "Simply Supported, 2 Loads at Equal Distances from Supports" - cool!
  8. True. I wanted my Winterstick 185 to be softer than my 170, so Rob built it identically to the 170 - same materials, same thickness in the middle, just longer. The length made it softer. If you measured the deflection of the two boards with the same distance between supports, you’d get similar results, but that wouldn’t be the correct representation. https://www.omnicalculator.com/construction/beam-deflection
  9. Francis Comes Alive - new favorite album! A tour de force. They are playing in Denver NYE and Aspen January 2.
  10. Ahhhh I've been wanting to do a very similar graphic for years, it just hasn't been in the cards. Nice one Neil!
  11. I meant does your toe flex away from the board on heelside.
  12. New England was off to a great start but it was practically wiped out by terrible rain and flooding last week. Sunday River was devastated by erosion, landslides, and water damage. Some wild pics and videos posted in the Sunday River Enthusiasts Facebook group. I don’t remember ever seeing anything like this. SR and Sugarloaf are open again but conditions are like early December at best.
  13. FIS has already declared the skwal is not a snowboard, so I'm guessing no.
  14. Hehe, I'd like to see that. Softbooter with no hardboot or ski experience going to hardboots on a skwal would be entertaining. I'd bet they would not be successful within the implied time limit of my test. I'm reminded of the one time @Beckmann AG had his crew of instructors mount our bindings opposite stance. With my alpine gear it was horrible, as if I had never snowboarded before in my life.
  15. So.... I think we need to agree on some terms here. When we say "lift" we're either talking about toe lift (tilting the boot back) or heel lift (tilting the boot forward). When we say "cant" it means tilting the boot sideways, left or right. TD3 zero cant discs are flat, they cannot provide any toe lift or heel lift or cant. A flat disc is not going to make a difference if you change your stance angles. I'd say only a minority of hardbooters ride with both feet flat. It is objectively less comfortable and less powerful for most people, due to the simple mechanics of our bodies and the geometry of our stances.
  16. Is it my imagination or does your front foot tilt back (toe up) with respect to the board on heelside?
  17. Yeah but that's not really what I meant, you're a hardbooter and high angle user already. If you mount two bindings skwal-style on an alpine ski, does that make it a snowboard? I don't think so.
  18. Welcome nicman. Just want to make sure you're aware of the fact that ebay is going to take 10% of your sale price if you sell it there (last time I checked). If someone offers to buy it here or elsewhere, I'd recommend not directing them to buy it on ebay.
  19. You are at 99% of your free allotted 10MB attachment quota. You can delete old attachments by clicking your name then My Attachments, or you can buy a subscription to get more space. Unfortunately, the bigger the database, the more it costs me to run.
  20. You can delete old attachments to free up space, or buy a subscription to get more space. OK. That's a bit different than "the nose and tail curl up just outside of the bindings". ~50cm stance width is pretty common.
  21. Pretty sure @pokkis had a full-rocker alpine board made several years ago. I don't recall hearing how well it worked. Honestly I'm skeptical! Is there a typo here? I'd love to see a side profile drawing. And what's the length, waist, sidecut? Hope you got the kitchen sink construction.
  22. And then there's this from Mr. Spock:
  23. True, resort skiing/snowboarding have to be some of the most environmentally damaging recreational activities possible. Especially when snowmaking is involved. Gonna fly 2000 miles each way to go resort snowboarding next week.
  24. this just in https://www.cnbc.com/2023/12/06/worlds-largest-iceberg-a23a-is-on-the-move-stoking-climate-concerns.html
  25. Hi Bill, currently I can only do this manually, therefore it has to be for a year at a time. If that's ok, PM me and we'll get it going.
