  1. Don't forget the Prior's as well. You are a big guy, you would do well on my 4WD 179 that I have for sale. Click my signature for details.
  2. Perfect! 2 for Mark as a buyer. Now if he would only buy my Prior I could order the Coiler...
  3. Fast and cheap? Doesn't exist. Greyhound will get it there pretty quick, for fairly cheap. Purolator will get it there the next day for lots of $$$
  4. Sold and shipped via Greyhound. They will be there tomorrow for pickup :)
  5. They also have release bindings too, I was just thinking he could save some money on getting ski boots as well.
  6. His daughter is 3, these are 79cm (31") long, I am sure his speeds will be slow enough. The kids at my hill rip on these things and don't have release bindings on them.
  7. Now that was funny. Maybe he should learn how to ski properly...
  8. Get some of these with the rental bindings. They use bails and will fit your existing boots. For $99 you really can't go wrong. http://www.curtissportconnection.com/Snow_Blades.htm You will be going slow with her and the extra mobility with these would be nice.
  9. SOLD 09/10 Prior 4WD 179 Haida Eagle Black http://priorsnowboards.com/boards_4wd.php I bought this board at the Prior factory on March 28/10 and have only ridden it 9 days (mostly half days). I have ridden a 169 4WD and felt more comfortable on it, but then I rode a 177 FLC Metal and I am hooked on metal. I made the mistake of emailing Bruce and really want a Coiler AMT. I will take some current pictures later today or if anyone asks, but it looks very much like this. Serial/Model - I really like this one as you can see the core and the carbon in the board through the clear parts of the graphic.
  10. Don't stop and make a snowman on the run ;) At my local mountain, Sun Peaks, they have a lesson and daycare package available. My friends have their kids in it and once mine is old enough, that is where she will be going. You have to buy a lift pass, but kids under 6 are free. Then it is $75 for 10 lessons and daycare. Lessons are usually 2.5 hours in the morning, then they get fed and daycare the rest of the day. My buddy usually skis in the morning, then takes the older kid (6) with him on the hill. His younger one (4) stays at daycare until they leave. Lessons are one-on-one and the instructors are professional and patient. The kids have a blast and get taught by someone that does this for a living.
  11. You can barely see the bubbles and once it is covered in ice, you won't see the top sheet! I want that board, just with some deeper inserts and a different top sheet.
  12. SOLD! I bought these in November and have ridden them twice (1 full day). I really like them and they are super stiff, however, they are true to MP26.0 size and are just a bit too small for me. My feet are L 26.8 and R 26.3 and I have no issues on the right foot, just a bit tight on my left that I get some rubbing as I ride regular. $80 plus shipping - help me get a FLC Here is my review and some more pictures. http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=31895
  13. You may have to take that Steepwater back just so I can afford it...
  14. Ski reviews from my friend Original Ok on the groom, great in the crud and chop. All-around ski that he could live with, but not his favorite. Doughboy Hated them on the groom, good in chop, needed 18" of fresh and they would be the first thing on his feet. Great for big mountain powder like Whistler or Revelstoke. "Prototype O2 - wood core" Amazing! Similar to Original, but rail on the groom, crud and chop. Definitely the best ski for interior snow conditions. He was trying to buy these off Chris before we left, seriously, these are that good. Prior please make them, they will sell out! He wanted to try the metal core too, but they were "missing", possibly up at Wiegeles for further testing.
  15. Me and a friend went to Prior demo day today at Silver Star Resort outside Vernon, BC today. The snow was good with hero groom in the morning, to chopped up a bit in the afternoon. Unfortunately they only had a few alpine boards because not all have returned from SES2011 Oh well, I got to try a couple boards any way. There was a ton of soft boot gear and split boards. The Fissle looks incredible, has the shape of a 50's pinup! I brought my 4WD 179 and MFR 168w with me for comparison, rode greens and blues with hard, blues, blacks, powder with softies. 4WD 169 - standard dimensions 21.5" waist, 45/40 angles I rode this one first and loved the shorter length. The board felt close to my current 179, but much easier to handle. It felt great on the new groom and did everything great. I pulled off a few sweet heel-side carves around my friend in skis while he was standing still and 1 laid out out toe-side. I put about 4 runs on it and tried to swap my 179 straight across with Chis went I got back to the tent. I rode 1" forward in the inserts and felt that really good that way. Provided enough bite on heel-side transitions without issues. FLC Metal 177 - standard dimensions 19.5" waist, 45/40 angles I rode this next. I take back my previous statement about wanting the 4WD. This board ROCKS! My first toe-side turn off the chair into a steep blue resulted in the most magical thing ever. My arms instinctively went up and I made an amazing carve with my belly and chest dragging on the ground. I love this board. It didn't bounce around as much as the 4WD and just felt planted. It was fast due to the extra length, but similar to my 179. I rode centered in the inserts and felt that it would have been better with the bindings moved forward about an inch. I also would have liked to turn my front foot a little steeper. I really want one of these now, I just need to decide on the size and width. My S-carves from the chair showed my toes dragging when I turned tight in softer snow. Khyber 160 I wanted to like this board, but unfortunately there wasn't enough powder to really try it out. Everything was tracked out and windblown. It handled alright on the groom, but the massive taper allows too much boot overhang on the rear foot. This upsets turns and makes it feel squirly. I did expect this though and if there was 18" of fresh, this would be the one I would pick. MFR 165w Felt like coming home, just a bit shorter than my 168w. I wanted to try the 162w, but it was out at the time. No problem keeping up to my friend on skis in the crud, just flat out rails everywhere. In conclusion, I would like to sell the 179 4WD and replace with a FLC Metal 169, 169W, 173. This one will be a tough decision. The 1" cross-weave of the carbon looks wicked through the clear part of the topsheet. I wonder if they would do a full clear one with green lettering and graphic? I would also like to get rid of the 168W and get a 162W to make it a bit easier to handle in the trees and moguls. It is going to be an expensive summer
  16. I even picked up my "new" board from his house! 2 thumbs up for Boris and his attack dogs!

    Out of line?

True, but at no time were the boarders out of sight of the skiers behind them. We don't know what happened further up the hill, but as parent I would have recognized the people around me and protected my kid by not chasing them down the cat track. Sometimes it is better to just wait a few minutes and let a group that large go. The dad and his group were total douches and when his bluff was called, his ass couldn't/wouldn't cash the check his mouth wrote. A millions ways better to handle this for sure...
  18. Can't wait to see the whole thing!
  19. Did you end up selling this one or keep it for the season?
  20. I am still thinking that I will sell mine at the end of the season if I can find a good deal on a FLC 169W. Can you wait another 7 weeks :D
