  1. Thanks for the info guys. I have no problems carving the soft boot board, and I am bringing it with me too. I may switch the plates to it later in the day, but I am determined to ride hard boots all day. 1 hr until lift off!
  2. I will be on the bottom part of the 5 mile most of the day, unless I get it right away. I will be in a black jacket, yellow pants, and mirror goggles. I will be the one on his ass in the hard boots looking ridiculous.
  3. Thanks, changed the stance to 55/50 with a little overhang on the rear. Tools will be in my pocket.
  4. ...so I got my TD2 bindings mounted up to the board tonight. It is so narrow at 8" and in order to keep the boots from dragging, the angles are 55/55 with 0 toe lift and 3 heel lift. I set the stance at 19" apart, which feels really awkward and very wide. However, my soft bindings are 20.5". I am nervous though. I strapped in on the carpet and it feels so weird. I am wondering if I should just go for it or if I should swap the bindings over to my RIDE all mountain board. The left boot is a bit uncomfortable in the arch, but the right is perfect. Hard boots feel so strange again. Anyone have any pointers? I am going up for the full day tomorrow.
  5. Can we get the ATB in North America or is it only available everywhere else?
  6. I will see you there! If I don't have the hard boot setup ready, I will be in softys and will look out for you.
  7. I haven't tried hard boots yet, but my feet kill me and fall asleep as I need to have the bindings cranked on so tight to carve in them. I also hate going slow and plodding along, so I think hard boots will make it perfect.
  8. Can you send me the tracking number Ross? Thanks.
  9. I will be on my home mountain on hard boots on Monday!
  10. Nice! Well boys, I bought all the stuff today and will be putting it together this coming weekend with any luck. Xeena X11 159cm TD2 bindings Burton Wind boots Should make for a good start into hard boots.
  11. Perfect! I assume everything is there to bolt directly to my board that I am picking up on Friday.
  12. You have money to the hotmail address above. Washington State address sent for shipping. Thanks, Dan
  13. You have money! I sent you my Washington State address to ship to. Please send me a tracking # once shipped so I can pick up on my way through to Seattle this weekend.
  14. I am interested. Can you get them to Sumas, WA, 98295 by Thursday afternoon?
  15. Interested in the TD1 bindings if you still have them. edit: I bought some TD2 bindings, I am out.
  16. If you mean Mark Recchi, his summer townhouse it #6 in my complex, I am #4. My wife went to highschool with him. As for the search, I am using it extensively...this is not my first time to a forum, but I am super excited and might be carving (properly) by next weekend if I am lucky.
  17. Ok, so I just bought some NOS Burton Wind 27s from NoSlide and now need bindings to go with them. Anyone have any ideas?
  18. I tried on some 4-buckle 27.5 Atomics. The toe box was fine, but the calf was way too tight for my calves. I tried them for 2 minutes though and didn't mess with the adjustments. I will take them, would they be in Sumas, WA by Thursday afternoon? I have a drop box there that I use to get my stuff from Canada and will be through on Friday. Tell me where to send Paypal to and what fees there will be.
  19. I just tried on some Atomic 27.5 ski boots and they fit, maybe just a little too large in the toes as I couldn't quite feel the front. So I think that 27 boots would probably be the way to go. Now to find some used ones or go new...???? I was also wondering if I should also try riding the hard boots on my current Ride Antic 160 board, but it might have to much flex. http://ridesnowboards.com/boards/antic
  20. It does help. What would shipping be to Sumas, WA, 98295? I am going to see if I can try on some ski boot today to see if a 27/9 is the right size.
  21. Hi All! I am new to the hard-boot world, but love to carve on my current soft-boot setup. I don't play in the part and hate riding fakie. I think that hard-boots are my calling and I am trying to get into it. I am 5'9, 215lbs, size 9 street shoes, so I think I need to look at some decent gear so I don't overpower it. I just purchased a Zeena X11 159 as my starter, beginner board which I think will be much too short in the future, but should be fine for now. I am searching for some boots, which I am trying to figure out sizing on. Not too sure on that and think I might go try on some ski boots to try and help with that. I am pretty sure that metal bindings will be the only way to go. Step-ins or regular don't really matter to me as either will be much easier that my soft-boot bindings. I used to have soft step-ins, which I loved, but then the industry moved on. Anyway, thanks for all the info on this site and I hope to see a couple of you out there on the slopes!
  22. I am still trying to figure out the whole modo sizing thing. My street shoes are a 9, but my soft snowboard boots are a 10. Thoughts??
