  1. i wear these there intended to be lifty gloves so there pretty durable Also this might interesting the hand draggers "We believe in this new glove so much that we will offer a full years warranty on workmanship and also if you wear them out in the first year we will replace them free of charge, and yes that does include ski workers, guides and seasonnaires." http://shop.snowshepherd.co.uk/epages/es122028.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/es122028/Products/0snowshepskiguideprotanblk
  2. @RoroSnow what bindings are you running?
  3. Well karakoram were fairly confident on Instagram when i asked so well see just how well they stand up to my somewhat unorthodox and highly aggressive style of riding. At the moment Rome targa's hold the record of about 3 months before something failed(broken disk).
  4. I wont get to ride them until the 10th at the earliest but ill post up my thoughts when i do.
  5. i do wonder why it is placed so out of alignment from the ankles natural pivot point, if it was merely stiffness wouldn't you just beef up the tongues across your range of boots
  6. I completely forgot about Nobile looking at there site i might pick up one of there previous seasons hard boot boards at some point thanks!
  7. If the ankle strap isnt up to it ill just stick the targa one on them . It's the large i got since i run 11s and prefer the sensation of being in bindings rather than on them so all my bindings are L or XL. Pretty excited to be honest, hoping they turn up at house before i leave the USA and head home. Is it the CI ones you have lurch?
  8. Pulled the trigger on black Friday and bought the karakoram prime connect-ci so well see how they go
  9. Just checked it was $80 Sean sent it through fedex
  10. I imported my Donek incline into the UK little issue i think shipping was about 70 dollars, just make sure to factor in import tax and and any VAT you will need to pay upon arrival in your country
  11. Has anyone had experience of a donek wide softboot carver built with titanal or secret construction?
  12. Avoid the step-ons like the plague if that's the case i took this picture when i demo'd a friends brand new set-up for a supposedly stiff boot the experience was pretty worrying. It also points to another issue my friend and alot of softboot riders have they have no concept as to what a stiff boot is actually like and the support it should offer....
  13. Now heres an interesting contrast to the idea of titanal reducing pop, some soft boot boards use it to increase it through using it almost as a leaf spring certain captia park boards do this and i think the alloy's, endeavour carving boards also. Here you can see the titanal strip running up the center of the capita ultra fear.
  14. the strange thing is ive never honestly noticed the mag on anything other boiler plate snowcrete
  15. Durability and build quality on Mervin stuff really isn't great I own a hot knife and magic banana both of them required there bases to be refinished. My hot knife became an unsuportive noodle within 6 months and my magic delamed at the edge after only 60 hours of riding no impacts or park riding....
  16. its the yes optimistic brett tippie rides nowadays for his do everything board he seems to like it for pretty much everything
  17. the leather straps and bolts really do accentuate the Frankenstein monster look
  18. yeah getting to try alpine stuff is another issue I was lucky i literally got an really old set-up as a comedy christmas present after saying i was pretty sure i could jump from softs to hards pretty easily
  19. I'm pretty sure 2019 is when they started spooning tip and tail to the start of the contact points on there whole line
  20. I rode my friends new Custom X when i tried his burton step on set up. The board stiffness is what id describe as supportive on the 1-10 scale somewhere around the 6-7 mark stiff but not so stiff you cant manipulate it also the flex is fairly uniform along the the entire length. The step ons well...... The lib tech orca is very very over hyped in my opinion its a good board but if your used to riding full camber the center rocker might not be a pleasant experience, I presonally would never ride one for anything other than powder and i do like some center rocker boards... Oh and its fairly soft from my recollection 4-5 directional flex softer nose stiffer tail. Yes optimistic I really like, it rides me a bit of how my SG soul held an edge but obviously not quite as good. The flex is probably around 7ish softer nose to a stiffer tail. if i was looking for a board to ride powder and do a bit of carving it would be on my list
  21. the reverse works i put my head ski boot liners with the plastic tongue in my not so softs to make them stiffer
  22. id say its as much ski's are easy to go fast on with fairly little skill... A novice snowboarder is probably going to deck it before they get up some serious speed where weve all seen speed tuck ski jerry straight lining at a speed way above his skill level
  23. Is there any flex in sole of AT boots around the toes as thats my issue walking around in ski/hardboots i can deal with the limited ankle flex if there flex at toe region otherwise its bambi on ice for me
