  1. Really, just an incredible amount of both Balance and Wave Knowledge to pull this off...
  2. Gee!!! I never put my Hands behind my Back after Tricks :) Amazing smoothness on that first one...I watched the contest Live and it reminded me of all the contest where you would show up only to find 1ft. waves blown out and you were supposed to go out and perform... and these days you can go to any beach where Groms are present and watch them all doing perfect airs all over the place...though I must add here being old school means surfing to me is done on the Wave Like Snowboarding to me is done on the Snow...want some air ? go jump off a cliff :)
  3. last couple of days have been amazing... http://www.surfermag.com/videos/teahupoo-uncut/

  5. Really, no place else like it...:)
  6. I guess I would just ask why we come with Flat Feet :)
  7. http://www.wildsnow.com/avalanche-safety-information/avalanche-highland-bowl-dawson-1982/ Lou Dawson and Wild Snow... I skied the Bowl the day before this happened with the Ski Patrol and that was the only reason I was looking through my telescope the next morning, was to see my tracks as the first sun hit at 7 AM...we skied in the trees and the Patrolmen used charges on the North facing slopes... I say again though, these last two seasons here have had Extremely Dangerous conditions out there...
  8. when you go out in conditions that are extremely prone to avalanche and pass below loaded slopes above hoping they will not come down you are rolling the dice no matter your level of expertise...you can pit yourself silly, throw charges and wear airbags and body armour, really so sorry for the individuals here and their loved ones...we here in Aspen have lost two patrolmen with years of experience over the last couple of years to sketchy early season layers...the conditions can be labeled one way and act another way altogether...or you can be on a listed exposure that is safe and be taken out by a slide from a slope that is listed as extreme because you are crossing say in a draw perhaps even a half mile below...not saying people should not venture out there but that sometimes and often many times here in Colorado it can come down to just being in the wrong place at the wrong time...again so sorry for all the Loved ones involved here...
  9. this is simple Basic equipment mixed with proper technique...Wonderful
  10. so Big and a Perfect Point break, perhaps the Ride of a Lifetime.....
  11. Wet is Wet in Indo...some local fun
  12. Your Fault Eh ? so instead of following the Code he implies that everyone needs to constantly look up hill while they are going downhill so as not to be rear ended by him...I actually tackled a Boarder last year after he runs into me and says I should be thrown off the mountain for the back and forth turns I was doing, there was a Patrolman about 100 ft. away that came over and explained the Code to Him and he sheepishly apologized...it happens at least once or twice a year and I always say lets go talk to the Patrol about what Downhill Skier or Boarder means...of course there are those and your incident is probably one, that whatever happens, it is not their fault and the Code is for everyone else but them...Have a Great Summer
  13. Beautiful Shot...here in Aspen it is the Skiers and Boarders who Straightline that cause the problem...not the Boots
  14. :D WOW...:D COW :D Way to Go... COWSTERS
  15. thanks for posting!!!! Just Wonderful
  16. Burton sent a 163 Rockered Board called a "Sherlock" Great Float in Pow but loses control when going from Front to Back edge as under foot section is cambered, so transition is weird...put it in the shed for now :o also sent a 164 "Juicewagon" that has a Fish Nose with Supermodel specs everywhere else, no Rocker but Nose is to big and Soft IMO...chatters on Carve My Old Malolo is my Favorite Pow stick in a 158 length with feet set back on inserts...though nothing works any better than the Last Supermodel 164 that I am currently using for Pow, Groom and anything else
  17. I have said it over and over :) the Moshun is everywhere Slo Mo here at Pipe and Backdoor...enjoy
  18. WB liftie during yesterdays Pow Zone gorge fest... "Want to Get Leid?" :D
  19. Thanks ...have a copy somewhere here of 1st one :)...back then, it was a confirmation that something Wonderful was going on
  20. Welcome to Colorado :) Joerg, has left some Boots and Pure Boarding boards at Buttermilks rental shop, at the bottom of Buttermilk if that helps, though it is 45 min. up and 45 mins.back to Glenwood Springs...sounds like your going with Skis the next two days...I have no Alpine gear to help you with...and my Pass is no good at Sunlight...:o
  21. I have a place where I can pull this off sometimes going backside on my soft set up...of course the track is deeper and thinner in places from entry and exit...so the Depth and Width do not stay the same all the way around :o the only thing that says it happened, is that the Carve Line crosses itself BEFORE there is any flat mark that shows up...
