  1. Great riding with Dag Adamson yesterday on the Western Slope.
  2. Yesterday Powderhorn had just epic conditions. Doug, Dag, and I carved up below the lift at midway and Doug had some awesome lay down Russky turns.
  3. Dag, Doug, and I were at opening day at Powderhorn This past Saturday. Only had a 20 inch base and a little icy. They have 7 inches in past couple days so carving should get better. Attached is a pic of Dag and I on lift.
  4. Another great day carving at Powderhorn with Dag and Doug. 1 inch of new snow over the groom made it chalky sweet! They put some lights for night riding till 9 the last couple nights. Crowds were light and we shredded Wonderbump and Bills.
  5. Some great groom this past weekend at Powderhorn that Doug and I enjoyed. Peter who was on his fourth day on hardboots was awesome! Karl (x hardbooter from Boulder) was doing some incredible turns on his softboot setup. Epic weekend at the Horn! Missed you Flyfast (Dag).
  6. Also saw Sage Kotsenburg make some nice carves at the end of his gold medal slopestyle runs. The announcers were commenting on how nice the carves were. Congrats to Vic Wild!
  7. According to this morning's report, 20 inches of snow (19 at BM) fell over night at the Aspen mountains. Should make it great for the SES. Weather forecast is in the mid 20s during the week. See at BM on Saturday.
  8. 1. Jimcheen 2. James and Daneille Ong 3. Corey Dyck 4. Randy Tognoni, Jami H, (+ 2 skier friends, shhh) 5. Dave Wiencke 6. Ann and Steve Recsky 7. Mike T 8. The Callens (Angie and Jim)...The trip is going to be a real pain, but I suppose we don't have anything better to do 9. Evan H 10. Mario, I'll be around here and there for a day or 3 11. Norman B. & Diana R. 12. Lamberto Smigliani 13. The Grand Junction Crowd (Dag A, Doug M., and Steve S.)
  9. Dag put together another video from Powderhorn this past Saturday. Doug had some nice extreme carves.
  10. Dag, Doug "the Russky" Miller, and GJC carved up Powderhorn yesterday. Getting ready for SES next week.
  11. Dag filmed some footage of Doug Miller who works at Powderhorn and is a carving machine on January 5th. Nice tight turns, Doug!
  12. Happy New Year. Dag with go pro on Powderhorn today.
  13. Great last 4 days at Powderhorn. 4 carvers on the hill today shredding up Bills and Peacemaker. Doug, Dag, Mike, and I enjoying the Bluebird Colorado skies and mid 30 degree weather. Almost like spring but with great snow due to the cold nights. Doug is carving the perfect Cs due to his tight turn radius and controlling speed while the rest of us are more S shaped/bombing down the hill. Hoping for some more snow to build up our 44 inch base. Happy New Year from the Horn!
  14. Great day today at Powderhorn. 4 hardbooters on the hill today, but Doug Miller and I got some first tracks in below the lift on Peacemaker this morning. Awesome weather and great groom on Bills run also.
  15. There should be three or four of us from Grand Junction that should be at the SES this year. We can meet up at the session and fill you in on Powderhorn (1650 vertical feet only 45 minutes from GJ on the magnificent Grand Mesa). We have 6 runs that are well groomed and that you can carve on - Bills, Maverick, Peacemaker below the lift, Redeye on West end, and sometimes Wonderbump and Lower Equalizer. Sometimes we can get as many as 6 carvers on the mountain but normally 3 or 4 of us.
