  1. sounds like lifetime of free boards? Or at least a very decent discount? Well done!
  2. One off the bucket list. For sure. Disclaimer: no shrooms been harmed in this story
  3. @pow4ever 1. Benny says there is no carving possible with duck stance (see recording in the post above) 2. Virus world cup boards do not contain titanal - only new carbon weave 3. you should ride out of your hips rather then from your knees. On heelside this is natural, on toe not so much, but if you engage the hips the knees shall work automatically. 4. Keep moving during the carve - it doesnt have to be big movements, but be on the move all the time and keep pressure on the board. Last point most important imho: 5. Everybody has got their own carving style. I.e. Benny cannot ride like i.e. Edwin Coratti, who is not so tall and often rides with both his hands on the ground. For taller guys like Benny (Fisch etc) straighter legs work little better : https://www.instagram.com/p/CbDyOiEM6GG/ - overall message was dont envy some else style - be yourself. Citing Snoop Dogg - if you are you, who can be you but you ? https://youtu.be/g0OdmRtuQew Meeting Benny for our little crew was very inspirational. He is an absolute snowboarding rockstar with a ton of passion for the sport. He FOUND time to meet with us - who are we to meet and ride with olympic champ. Definitely one for the memories and picture on the wall.
  4. YouTube edit for those that do not like watching on mobile https://youtu.be/6kbFTTLC2yo
  5. good watch - awesome riding crew! no Barry Manilow though....
  6. During chat with Benny he had a funny message to our local snowboarding community. Not sure how it is in US, but in Poland everybody that starts snowboarding with instructor is set to duck stance by default - so we asked Benny about this and here is the recording of his message : https://m.facebook.com/groups/334588920011091/permalink/2444217799048182/ i know Ryan would disagree (kudos to him) but imho duck killed carving effectively for majority of the snowboarding community.
  7. Hi all, Just wanted to share with you something that I find a little unbelievable still. Me and my crew planned a trip to one of the Austrian glaciers - molltaller- few weeks back. Molltaller is maybe 30 minutes away from Lienz, which is home to at least two snowboard legends. Having that in mind, I dropped an Instagram message to the current Olympic champ in PGS, whether he would have time shred with our little carving crew. Benny was in town and we managed to meet and ride together. Not only Benny coached us for little while, we also had a great chat about life and snowboarding. If this is not enough for you - we ride on a chair with Benny and I see a familiar silhouette carving down the slope. Ponytail and redbull helmet. We ride down and Sigi Grabner is waiting for us in the chairlift line... https://www.instagram.com/p/CbbBHxasqAV/?utm_medium=copy_link Reel from the meet up: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CbdpGgvA2_E/?utm_medium=copy_link On Thursday on Molltaller Gletscher we had tests of sinline plates and sense snowboards We met Andrej Cerne who is Sense snowboard maker and Gasper who stands behind sinline plates. My favourite board of the day was RaceCarve 174 with 14m radial radius. Paired with medium flex sinline plate - absolute beast when it comes to grip - fun factor out of scale. Reel https://www.instagram.com/reel/CbgJLTpAl3H/?utm_medium=copy_link And lastly : Our fav reel from this trip : https://www.instagram.com/reel/CblPxzegnkr/?utm_medium=copy_link Enjoy the footage!
  8. Latest video clip from the crew! Enjoy! https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cau5NTog31D/?utm_medium=copy_link Inspired by one of the carving plugin clip P.s. no Barry Manilow...
  9. 12 tracks in less then hour? thats impressive! you either have a very fast lift of very short slope
  10. i used google translate to translate from Korean - seems that maybe something was lost in translation and it meant to be softboot boards. Pro+, Solid and Prime that are mentioned are SBX/Carve boards https://www.apex-snowboards.com/products-2020/ No idea - further info needed on how this works and what are the true benefits both alpine and softboot.
  11. No idea honestly - not enough info Apex Korea claims that this plate will be available in two options : Alpine and freestyle with 4x4 mounts https://www.instagram.com/p/CaYcl33PczP/?utm_medium=copy_link
  12. https://www.instagram.com/p/CaYW4gQPs57/?utm_medium=copy_link Two piece Allflex.....
  13. Happened to me on the blue ones. Exchanged on warranty, however I concur with Mr E - wouldnt be worried if plate is all right.
  14. @west carven @st_lupo thanks for the inspiration! All feedback appreciated gents!
  15. Nobile X Sinline Praised be the edge
  16. @Sinline Gasper welcome to the forum! pleasure to have you here sharing your thoughts on AF/IR/Sinline plates. I think everybody here would appreciate you explaining the difference in how the front and rear mounts work vs allflex. I personally noticed that they work much smoother then my allflex mounts used to work. Also - what is the difference between a race front/rear mount and carving front/rear mount? Thanks!
  17. Daniela Ulbing used to ride a Apex before SG. I owned quite a few Apexes in the past - they all ride superb. Small manufactory make them right next to Kaprun in Austria. Ton of custom boards they do as well and have all proper race constructions.
  18. currently only in RCR boot - i had it in my hands and comapred to 951 they are much lighter - wonder if that might affect the overall performance of the boot. also the UPZ RCR with 4 buckles work so much better then my old RC10. most of the issues are fixed in terms of flex (finally it comes much from the spring, not from the tongue - just like in 951). also the RCR spring box - finally offers stepless forward lean adjustment - still it is a worse construction then 951 spring mechanism in terms of adjusting the forward lean and changing the springs if needed. I wouldnt be suprised if next year all UPZs are this design. Agree - if you are on a budget I would try getting on S5 - I had a very good experience with them - super quick to react ( @lonbordini am waving at you ;)) and they have much smaller ramp inside of the boot vs 951. said that the price for being flat in the boot is the increased footprint vs 951 which has heel under heel design With enough tinkering S5 could be quite an interesting options vs Deeluxe and UPZ. if you want pro performance out of the box go for 951. There was a rumor so time ago that 951 are only great for racers - load of bollocks imho. Perfect for carving too!
  19. Korea must be doing something right. Have you noticed how many kids there is on hardboots in those Vids ?
  20. Growing hardbooters - I might be doing that soon - just ordered hardboots for my son. Have you seen this before ? https://instagram.com/sakuralu_shunsei_miori?utm_medium=copy_link
  21. Michał Nowaczyk from Poland rides amicss as well. All the brands seen in the finals: Virus F2 Sg Nobile Amicss Kessler Oxess
  22. Well you just made it worse by adding that ending to it....
  23. maybe they will build fast acting tit constructions ? curious
  24. @Lurch Beskid Slaski - this is the name of the mountain range that this slopes is located. god has a sense of humor....
