  1. Go with the regular, I had both and the regular allowed me to feel the board better. On the flex version your standing on a plastic disc and stressing long screws.
  2. This totally does happen, once you start feeling the Gs and your carves get more connected you want more and push for more. One of my big mistakes is charging too hard early in the day and using up the gas tank by noon. 18th season of plus 50 degree angles and I still make the same mistake, but I love it Lol
  3. 2nd what Jack said, It wont be fun trying to get in those boots with liners molded to a Delux shell
  4. Went today with Mrs Buggs. I expected mid winter condish but it was pretty hard and there were many cookies about. Its getting harder to come back each season, at 55 Im starting to wonder if I will make it to 60. I need to keep in mind its still before Christmas and there has not been significant snow fall yet but man my legs were chirping at me. I was speaking with the owners and they said they still have not gotten to peak output capacity from the snow making system but expect to be full on by next week. Also heard they got the parts for that down lift and it will start turning by Christmas week.
  5. I went with 27s in the UPZ, was in 26s in delux and was always having issues. Right foot 27.3 left 26.8 but when you pull the laces on the Zip liner it is mad hold even with the size difference. rode them today and they were a bit stiff at the start then started to be nice to me. Maybe someday I will actually follow the molding process and see how they fit then but even without doing that they are great. If you can find a shop to try them in your current shells you will understand what I mean. Great part is you can try them in a shop, even if they mold them and if you dont like them they are not used, they can be put back in the box and remolded for someone else. No risk to the shop.
  6. Deck, I had so many different versions of Deluxx and Foam, Thermo liners since 2000 that Im embarrassed on how much I have spent. I went to UPZ and it was a huge difference but the best thing I bought for boot fitting is the Zip Fit liners. I dont see my self spending $$ on a liner for the rest of my riding after getting the ZipFit liners. You might consider trying the Zips in your current boots and if they dont help with your current issue ditch those shells and move the Zips in the UPZ. Seriously I wish I tried the Zips years ago. My feet would have been much happier and I would have saved a ton of doe
  7. Stopped using one 10 plus years ago, now you got me thinking
  8. I can see why they were hopeful but 50 degree days and 35 degree nights kilt that
  9. Good November riding is total Bonus and rare. Even December can be sketchy. Patients grass hoppers
  10. Bump since people seem to be missing out on this awesome option for liners. I wont bother with Thermo's again.
  11. My pass is booked and waiting for me.
  12. Well let me put it this way, I had the risers/foam pad set up and for Me its much better being closer to the board with less stuff under my feet. I had No problem converting them to standard flat to the board versions, there was really nothing to it. Oh yeah, I dont race.
  13. You might call it flex but I call it loss of feel
  14. Keep people coming to the Beast. Commit more time to my soft boot set up. Really want to close the gap in ability between the 2 styles
  15. Ditch the foam pads and that riser ring, put the rubber right on the bottom of the bindings and mount them with shorter screws. Thank me later . Been riding this type of binding for 17 years and they have never failed me. All you need is a #3 Phillips and go. I had a set of those with the risers and you get much more feel of the board without them. Only difference is the foam pads and the riser ring.
  16. Getting low since the 90s

  17. Quit all this yapping and let the dust settle.
  18. Rode softboots for the first time in a few years 2 weeks ago, stiff K2 double boa boots Flows and a Rossi 1 Magtec. It was humbling going form one of the best snowboarders on the hill to a lower intermediate. That being said it was still fun after like the 3rd run when I actually started to feel something. I admire softbooters that can rip even more now knowing how hard it is to feel the board and power it up in softboots. I guess if I had the patients to dial in my stance I might ride it more.
  19. UPS sole is like 2 sizes smaller than Deelux, My 27 UPZ fit my in wifes 25 delux F2 intecs
  20. Simple review, They are a lace up, once you tighten down the laces its amazing the fit and heel hold is perfect, I didnt have cold feet, I have some hot spots on the medial side of both ankles especially my front foot. Never had to mess with my boots during the day of riding, open the buckles during lunch and closed them when I went back out. Thats the extend of fooling with my boots. Honestly Im very happy with them. Only disappointment was No one seems to have the extra tubes of goo for me to try and adjust the hot spots. Im not happy the dealer didnt have any after paying full retail. After doing like 800 Thermofits and a few liquid foams If you are on the fence I say go for it.
