  1. For me the best part is never having to buckle that all important instep buckle tight at all, just enough to keep it closed maybe a little tighter. No more crushing my foot to the point of it going numb just to keep it down.
  2. Not sure of the model, world cup or Gara. Im going to do some thumbing to see if I can take care of it. Im not sure bumping the shell is the answer at this point until I do some good investigation. Im terrible cause I put them in my bag and forget about them, never researching the issue then I go and hammer on them for the day
  3. What shells are you guys having success with.?? I have hot spots on the medial side of my ankles to get figured out but I deal with it cause the performance is so on point.
  4. As I mentioned in a previous post I struggled for the better part of 20 years in hard boots trying to get a liner that didnt have me crushing my feet after lunch or later in the season. The ZipFits are the best thing I have found available. I can Honestly say I can leave the lodge with my boots buckled on the first clicks, get to the top, snug them once and literally forget about buckles till Im done. Best part is if I do need to tighten its never the instep buckle, most of the time its the top buckle on my right leg. Funny thing is I will find it un done for I dont know how many runs before I even notice. Real talk I actually dreaded thinking about how much my feet were gonna hurt or that feeling after lunch of my feet moving all around and not being able to focus on turns. Thats in the past now with the set it and forget it liners called ZipFit. I dont follow their deal of removing them from the shells and sliding them in the boot with your foot. I leave mine in and with the swing away tongue mod on UPZ Im able to enter them easily. No their not cheap but they are well worth it.
  5. Mike, I'm quite humbled by your comments but it's the opposite of what we discussed. We joked about people constantly changing equipment to solve technique errors but I have to say in this instance it's the boards Not me.
  6. I was disappointed we didnt get to spend more time with you. I was hoping to have a good 3 runs with you but I had to skoot. I agree with what Mike said, I saw your lower half still in a bit of a toe side orientation when you went to go heel. Its actually blocking you from getting into proper position to nail heelsides. Since that was my 2nd day out this year I really had to focus on getting my head around in my heelsides. I couple times I found my self looking up at the sky when I had a bad heelside instead of looking across the trail. Unfortunately Im headed back south for next weekend and wont be back till the 23rd, that leaves a possible day on the 24th if theres anything left worth trying to carve on by then.
  7. Hemlock, my new favorite place. Thanks for another awesome day Mike. Next time it's top to bottom runs on hemlock.
  8. So 5 years later and I still love this board. I only got out 2 days this year and both times I didn't most of the day on this board. It did everything I asked if it until my legs died. Can't go wrong with one of these.
  9. David, dont over think this. I have been on F2s for over 15 years and find the simplicity of them a bonus.
  10. Im trying to move things around but I have an event at 7pm thats going to cause another early exit from the mountain. Lol I say that now and you know whats gonna happen. Brad????? Saturday looks like another glorious day
  11. OMG, I forgot how great it is to ride with some of the best riders on the east coast. You guys really got me in attack mode today. David, I ran out of ways to describe the way you kill it now. Im happy your now the front runner and I dont have to be lol. Yeah I should have gone in when I said but I was not ready to stop smiling Im so thankful for the friendships that have come out this love for Gs. Looks like a potential rinse and repeat for next Sunday if I can walk by then. Stay tuned.
  12. Ohh sh!t, pressure is now ON. I better get outta that casino early tonight. Scrambling to get my Ipod running
  13. I have zero desire to get chatter foot on a old school glass board. I remember how much of that harsh energy came back into my feet and legs. I think it was 08-09 I got my first Coiler Am Metal and was blown away at how much it averted all those bad frequencies and stuck to ice. The only non metal board in my garage is a softboot board. As posted if you have yet to try these new school boards your in for a true awakening
  14. Looks like I might be able to get a knock the rust off day on Sunday in between the 2 storms .
  15. Im totally down with timing it for good condish and weather but @ 55 Im so far outta riding shape Im probably only good for like 6 runs my first day out. I know if I push it much more than that and Im gonna be paying. If you guys understand that my day will be short Im cool with doing a beast mid week or something. I do want to get some turns in this season, I forgot how great it feels to kill some arcs. Missing you R I
  16. They work I will say that, I just need to put them on this YEAR!!! Watching a couple vids on here started to motivate me but this weekend looks a bit sketchy
  17. Of course I missed it but being poolside in Naples didnt suck.
  18. Ugh in Florida until Monday, besides I'm not sure I know how to do this any more
  19. Embarrassed to say I have not been out yet. Been missing the good days due to trips down south. Every time I come back it rains or its 0. Leaving today so Im missing another good weekend. Represent for us Mike, missing you Wrong Island
  20. Im not sure there is any reason to compare these boards
  21. Hate to be a broken record. I spent so much $$ on Thermo fits, you name the brand I tried it. They all suffer the same fate. I finally landed on Zip Fit and its a world of difference. Heel hold is the best of any liner I have tried and they can be remolded over and over if needed. Zips can be kinda hard to find but because of the design you can try a pair in your boots to see how they would fit and the shop can take them back since unlike Thermos they can be reshaped somewhat endlessly.
