Mike thanks for getting me back on the hill. This season some foolish thoughts had crept into my mind that I might be done carving After riding with you yesterday I can officially say Im not done yet. Thanks again and hope to see you at Stratton.
You really need to be able to ride off the lift with your foot out, there is no excuse not to be able to do that. Clipping in is just covering up for your need to work on a basic skill. I ride step ins and will click in as im gliding away from the lift but I dont do it on the chair. I actually look forward to practicing 1 foot riding while I get off the chair since its a necessary skill.
My coilers came not so flat on the base. I could not understand why I had trouble staying straight on long lift exit run outs. After a full grind they were perfect. I go 1x2 for bevel. Dont follow my maintenance schedule, Im the worst, I just ride them till they look like crap then bring um in like every year and a half.
Brent, There are a few of us that ride just south of you at Berkshire East. None of us are certified but we have helped many people have break through days. Im usually there on weekends because believe it or not its not crowded. Hit me up here if you would like to hook up or if you can do a weekday at Snow I may be down for that.
Was at Snowbird early last year. It was fun but I was glad I brought my All Mountain board, there was more bumps and free riding than carving. If your looking to lay down turns most of the day then skip the Bird
The conditions and the riders made those boards look much better than they actually were. I had one of those boards and they were nothing special just a glass carving deck, no magic there. Surely not worth reviving the design. If I remember the stance widths were pretty narrow
Thanks Pat, those are for the Toe and Heel blocks, Im looking for the 4x disc screws. I believe these might work, #3 Phillips Drive, M6-1 Thread Size, 12 mm Length, Fully Threaded
Anyone agree or not
Hate to be the barer of bad news but Mark/Dingbat moved to NC this summer and is gone from the Beast A huge loss to many of us that knew him as a great friend. Hopefully I can entice him to come up for ECES.
We are gonna have to try and keep the carving vibe at the Beast going so lets check in here during the season.
I just got my boards tuned at the starting gate in VT so Im as ready as my busted up back will ever be
