  1. I just measured it, it's 16.1cm wide at waist.
  2. 190cm Custom GS originally made for Scott Tucker. It's very narrow, and quick edge to edge. I think it's 18cm wide at waist. I've had it up to 52mph measured with a GPS.
  3. Here's the current Prior collection. Coiler and softboards are missing in action.
  4. New to me Prior 185cm/Cateks/UPZ's.
  5. I'll list em on ebay in a week.
  6. It's slow sometimes, then speedy...I think it needs a reboot.
  7. I created problems for myself by popping Iboprofen prior to snowboarding each day. I tightened my hard-boots up so tight each day, I was able to rupture a tendon sheath in my ankle. It caused a good amount of fluid build-up in one area of my ankle, that minor surgery was needed. I didn't notice anything at the time, until I got back after a trip and noticed a difference in my ankle size. So, I only take them when needed now.
  8. I have three pairs of World Cups. They aren't for sale yet, but they probably will be as I acquire OS1's or OS2's. Any long-plate OS1's or OS2's non-step ins - lemme know.. Paul
  9. Is approximately $25 across to the West coast. Although, I'll get quotes based on the interested parties zip code.
  10. I've got enough World Cup bindings now. Thanks, Paul
  11. Burton Megaflex size US12, EU11. Pics available at :- http://picasaweb.google.com/paul.scrutton/BurtonMegaflexboots# Decent working order. I used them last season.
  12. thanks for the tips guys. I purchased the boots from a BOL member. Good to know about the things likely to fail.
  13. I think that maybe a tiny C spanner is the tool to have. eg. :- http://www.bitzforbikes.co.uk/photo/164500.JPG I have a few for bicycle work, but nothing this small. Good to know that not much difference was spotted when you tried to adjust it.
  14. I've had the levers pop on Burton bindings and had a few releases, slid along, no worries. I took my Prior custom down a boardercross course once. Upon landing the first big jump, the front binding detached from the board (screws weren't long enough). That got my attention. No injury though. I've had one release with the Cateks where I didn't have the heel located correctly. No injuries from releases, but its a bit unnerving. Paul
  15. Just got me some UPZ RSV's (red). Yey! Does the spring mechanism on the back adjust, and if so is any special tool needed to do this? I figured out the ride/walk mode. Is there a user manual anywhere online? Thanks, Paul
  16. vlc is able to repair the problem and play back (not saving file). Don't bother with the convert /save option - playback wasn't any good via this route.
  17. Yeah, the other two tables that Swix makes look much nicer. Of course, you do need vises for them. I just attended a tuning clinic, and got to see the other two tables (narrow and wide ones). These with a set of vices hold a ski extremely solidly. There are a number of manf's that make much more pricey tables also. I think that I may spring for the wide Swix at some point. Vises first though...
  18. A set of Bomber Tele's are listed at the moment.
  19. Wow, is that a shock absorber on that Donek? Great pics. One of my favourite resorts.
  20. I was about to sign up for a 3 day gate-training camp at Sugar in NC; it's focussed on GS and SL racing. Just to be certain snowboarders were allowed to participate (some fears of mine based on some of the wording on the flier), I shot them an email/voicemail. Boy was I surprised at the response. Note here that Sugar does offer a Crescent Ski Council racing program for skiers, telemarkers and snowboarders during the season, which I participate in. " Kim Jochl to paul show details Nov 3 (8 days ago) Paul, I received your voice mail. Thank you. Snowboarders were part of the preseason ski clinic for several years in the past. However, due to a lack of interest over several years we returned to a ski clinic only. As a result, trying to include snowboarders became very costly therefore we eliminated snowboard participation. I do not know of any other gate training programs for snowboarders. Sorry! -Kim Jochl" Well there you go...we can compete, but can't train. Superb. I'm really thinking that I should show up for the clinic with my split board, and put it together at the top of the race course prior to running the gates. Fn ridiculous.
  21. I think there may be something to it. I noticed that one day my feet did freeze, and I noticed that I was wearing some unusually thick socks. I switched to thinner socks the next day, and my feet were much warmer.
  22. Yeah back in the day when I weighed a bit less than my current 215-220, Chris advised me to go custom, rather than pick a stock Prior board, as it wouldn't be stiff enough for me. Sounds like that advice still holds.
  23. They aren't really obselete, but the bail size is wider on the old ones than on the new ones; so they work well with old boots (which I have). The newer ones are a bit sexier too. I still need one more set of long plates if someone has a set - I really only need the bails, but I'll take a whole setup. Prefer the purple anodized period. Paul
  24. Yeah, looking for some of those obselete World Cup bindings. Also looking for the bails for those bindings (they are slightly wider than the Olympics). Shoot me a line with what you have. Thanks, Paul
