Dittossounds like the "straightliner" was on a run that appeared to be empty & inviting of speed. I've been surprised in the past by "campers" seemingly enjoying a liesurely mid morning break obscurred by rollers before, albeit to much less dramatic end. a tragic day for all involved that could have been avoided had BOTH the "straightliner" not been riding so fast there/then AND had the mom quickly moved her child and self out of the blind spot before reassembly.

picked up a 'lightly' used 2004 Volvo S40 4dr sedan from an elderly neighbor for my daughter for a song ($3k). At 110k miles, all service records including new timing chain, tires, brakes, oil & filters. looks to be a good little car that will likely live on to be a Great 'beater' in several yrs

Hi Chris! Sorry to hear about your knee & hope that all is well now. Yes, I busted up my beloved old reactors ending my season and then picked up some very lightly used HSPs from another Chris here on BOL (good guy) last spring. Anyway, I stomped around the house in them several times over the summer and all seemed great. But by the end of my third run it was clear I had some tweaking to do. So far the progess has been very good and the boots are almost right where I want them. I suck at posting PICs, If you want to meet up we can catch up & compare notes over a beer.
