  1. please send pics & price to switchcarve@yahoo.com my grocer is tired & needs replaced.
  2. I usually ride about 10-12 degrees difference between the feet, and go as low an angle as the board allows to avoid toe/heel drag. with a lower angle on an allmountain there's a little more adjustment ability responding to offpiste variability.Take a pocket driver and make onslope adjustments to dail in your comfort zone:biggthump

    holy crap

Sounds like the perfect compliment to the Tanzanian Peaberry, light roast, lots'o caffeine:D
  4. what type of heel is on those 123's & would you sellthem w/out the extra liners?:)
  5. I like the idea of the RAB, but I want my walk mode:1luvu:
  6. I ride older Raichle 123's they have 3 buckles, a soft tongue & lateral flex release on both sides of the cuff. They have older intec heels ( I love stepins ). I rode them w/burton ratraps witch are even flexier than intecs. almost as flexy as stiff softies but carve better & more convienent. Highly recomended for allmountain & switch carving:biggthump
  7. I'd be interested in any old burton ratraps or other plates, especially older itec/nitro/fritzi stepins:D
  8. looks good but I need a round tail.
  9. could you post a pic?
  10. I'm not opposed to fencing the "park", give it's own lift, and sell park only tickets. it'll keep the bulldozing heelslippers from trying to level the steep bump runs:angryfire
  11. can I get scented candle wax with that tune?
  12. your right, different stances and/or techniques are required for different flex patterns/shapes. I should have prefaced my "blanket" statment by saying that in my limited expirience I prefer riding boards that allow me to carve switch so my opinion is irrelevent to anyone carving directional boards. my bad.:( Switch carving is more equal to foward carving if "I" am centered on the side cut. you should try it, big fun:D
  13. First off Nitro what? secondly centered on the sidecut is best for laying over the groom, slightly back for pow:lol:
  14. just sent a payment for the 165, hope it went through OK,let me know:biggthump
  15. I would rather see softer freestyle boots for stepin plates than wider stiffer boards built for straps & laces:argue: but sadly there's no money in that:(
  16. AAHHH!!! the good old days of gaper dodgeing in the fog at snogualmie:eplus2:
  17. when I learned to go sideways there was no such thing as a snowboard instructor & I got good when switched to plates in '90:)
  18. I rode my 1st quadratic in '92, a sims fakie w/vokyl wood core. as an accompilshed switch rider that carves both ways i prefer non directional shape. my undersanding of quadratic is the 4 corners are mirrored to the center lines of tne board. progressive radius & elliptical can be quadratic if the're centered on a non-tapered shape:argue:
  19. for me it's either tuck the knee or ride in pain w/reduced control:smashfrea
  20. good length for trees & bumps, but you'll want bigger for open pow & high speed carves:D
  21. In the last 10 yrs my wife average's 1 set of new gear over 4 disciplines per year. She instructs so that's part of the deal. In the last ten yrs I've bought 1 demo board and 1 ebay replacement for the 10 year old eldo that i took from her & used hard till an old rockshot killed it. This year I'm starting with a new osin 3800, scarpa terminator X boots, & later in the season if my wallet recovers, NTN binders work stinx or shuksan tele boards. that changes my average:cool:
  22. stepin all the way baby. got burton rat traps in 94-5, still use'm w/my nordica sbh for hiking. the rat traps don't work w/intec heel pins. my raichle's & blax use the old nitro/fritzi/intec's. the mechanism on the plate is tougher & simpler than the retracting pins & cable. BTW if any o'yall got some old style intec's i'll take'm off your hands.
