  1. Ive got a pair of burton rails on an old mistral goofy asym. like new should fit the bill. I payed 40.00, I'll take'em off & ship'em for that, or take the whole board for 40.00 plus shipping
  2. I gotta wiegh in here. Anybody that thinks skiing and boarding are different is a clueless ignoramous. they're not called board lifts. without the ski manufacturers we would still be hiking with glorified snurfers, bent pieces of plywood w/fins & rubber straps. Without snowboarding revolutionizing shape & flex, skiers would still be struggling to turn on long skinny fence pickets, instead of easy turning snowboard shaped skis. Jake is not boardgod. In 85 Tom's boards were better. It really comes down mountain ettiquet. Azzholes are azzholes be they on 1 stick or 2. I could go on & on, but the horse has already been fed to the dog & scattered in the yard.
  3. I've got a pair of 6 degree 3D freestyle plates, lightly used. $5.00 each plus shipping. email me, paypal preferred:biggthump
  4. Yea, but I used those boots to death, tossed'em long ago or I'd be a hit on retro day:biggthump
  5. I want those binders DB, check your mail:biggthump
  6. I only acquire top of line boards. the ones I've used into noodledom, K2, burton, libtech, Identity, all have well over 100 days on them, the Eldo, Alp, and Grocer have gotten soft but aint broke yet:biggthump
  7. Guess I better buy a powerball, It's the only way I'll ever get the Oneboot that does it all.
  8. still interested, how much you want for it, email me:biggthump
  9. oh yea! in 90 I bought UPS race boots that match the board. I was stylin' in the age of neon:cool:
  10. this was the first board with metal edges that I ever bought new. Pre-inserts,I mounted modified strap bindings to accept my tele's & at boots, couldn't find plates at the time. wasn't fond of the flaming pink, but out of several dozen boards that I tried out in the late 80's this one outcarved them all.
  11. I'll use'em for parts, check your mail.
  12. it's not a ski boot & I don't ski in laces either.
  13. boots are only allowed in bed if she has new ones too:eplus2:
  14. If I could actually find a store that carries alpine board gear I'd be a devoted drooling groupie touting it's praises to everyone i meet. the inland nortwest is seemingly devoid of such joys:(
  15. strappy lacey things belong in the bedroom:p
  16. many yrs ago I got trapped in deep snow with my leg wrapped around a tree. I couldn't reach the binders to release. I like the idea but think stepin intec's would be better for this purpose:)
  17. I have some burton 3d & 4x4 discs, also a pair of 6 degree 3d cant plates for softies or plates if you want'em
  18. always wanted to take a split board to Taos:biggthump
  19. shape is definately a factor & technique has changed somewhat to match this evolution.the newer shapes &flex patterns have allowed alot of underskilled skiers & riders into terrain once only used by experts. good for them,:) sad for me:( whaaa
  20. I'm stradling the fence on this issue (ouch). As a expert bump skier before I learned to be an expert bump rider, I've watched over the yrs as bump fields have changed shape with the advent of snowboarding. the nice round zipper line bumps created by 200+ cm skis have given way scraped off uneven diamond shaped bumps created by 155 cm bulldozers. I believe this is due to the lack of carving by the vast majority of boarders on runs far beyond thier ability:smashfrea. Also, there's nothing but money keeping someone from creating snowboard only area? I'd rather carve the ski only area:argue:
  21. I wax all my skis & boards with a hard green Swix mixed with One Ball Jay flourocarbon/graphite. An exellent all temp mix until it gets below 0 /f then I rewax w/ mostly cold. try it, relatively cheap & highly effective:biggthump
  22. Thanks Steph. Got the board yesterday, packaging communication were great.I wanna ride it bad. the jones is crankin and it's two weeks to opening day. But I've got to leave it home or it'll cut thru to the rocks:mad: I pray for patience:ices_ange
  23. hey grock5 I'll buy those binders for 50.00 today, do you have paypal?
