NOAA is calling for a 30% chance of rain/snow for Saturday at Targhee, but Idaho Falls wx is showing mostly sunny the rest of the week - weekend, which is usually a better indicator of what the cloud cover will really be like at the Ghee. So the dredman prediction is.... Carving days at Targhee this weekend!! See you all at 10:00 AM at the Dream Catcher lift Saturday and Sunday.... remember that lifts are only open from 10AM - 3 PM this weekend! So pack your pockets full of Little Debbie's so you can skip lunch!! Cheers!

Having spent Saturday riding with Casper, I must say it is as amazing as it looks, certainly more amazing in person. Casper has great style and flow to his riding, truly original. A little over 2 seasons ago Casper was just starting to work on this style of riding. It is very impressive to see his progression and creativity. I wonder what the next season will bring? Please do not turn this thread into a flame show about what to call it. We can have our own names for stuff. It really looks like Casper Carving to me. This video showcases what may bring more young riders into the sport and keep it alive and thriving. Great work on the video Johnasmo, another fine creation!! Casper it was great riding with you again, you have inspired me yet again to mix it up! dredman

I just got a text update on my phone... 17 new inches of snow since yesterday when the lifts closed!! Looks like snow in the forecast and a powder weekend!!

I claim full ownership of the Airblaster Freedom suit. I think loud and obnoxious one-piece suits are going to be in fashion again! I have noticed a significant reduction of near misses from bombing skiers and snowboarders since wearing the suit. So the function is still far better than the fashion. It is well equipped with drop seat, leg and pit zips, and pockets in all of the right places. Glad you all enjoy it as much as I do! Cheers!

If you are interested in going to Targhee... you can fly into Idaho Falls, ID or Jackson Wyoming. From either airport you will have to rent a car and drive to Grand Targhee. There are some crazy specials on lodging right now available thru the Grand Targhee website. Vacation Rental by Owner www.vbro.com also has some sweet deals on lodging. Use Driggs, Idaho or Victor Idaho for you city location to find them. I have also seen some sweet nightly rentals on Eastern Idaho Craigslist. Come on out and join the fun!

We had a fun day of riding with a full tribe at the WMR. The gang included: Johnasmo AngryRick West Carvin Dr.D and son Sqwall guy "The New Dave" BigDogDave Black Chicken of Death (Two Ravens) Allee myself and my son. Snow was a great mix of spring conditions! Johnasmo, Squallguy and I entered the pond skimming contest. Below freezing temps and winds were not enough to keep us out. In the first round Johnasmo dressed in a vintage jetski wet suit decided to swim after about 50+ feet of skimming. Sqwallguy made it gracefully through the 2nd round of skimming to barely fall short of the end of the pond. I made it to the final round, where they had 3 buoys that you had to slalom around. The skimmer who made the buoys and went the furthest was to be the winner. I ended up in 3rd place overall and 1st out of the snowboarders. I chose to ride my trusty Coiler Montucky Race Carve. What can't that board do? Every one had a great day of riding and will be doing a repeat tomorrow! Thanks you Whitefish gang for letting the Wydaho riders and International Woman of Mystery Allee join you fun! See you all tomorrow!!

James, it has been a pleasure riding with you this season! You gave me the best tips of the year, and they made big changes in my riding. Thank you. I really enjoyed your analytical process to carving. I have not ever really though much about my riding and discussions with you have really put words to the why and how's of carving. I wish you a safe and fun summer! Do not forget to get Hot Coco a Coiler Metal Schtubbette!! Hot Coco! It has been great getting to know you! Keep up the great work on the carving! I am sure that you will really enjoy the new Coiler James is going to surprise you with!! I will not be saying good bye to either the Black Chicken of Death or BDD. For I will see you soon!!
