Today was spectacular! Bluebird sky's, excellent grooming, very comfortable temperatures!! Rode with CrackAddict and BigDogDave, CA was riding strong as ever, BDD put together his finest day of carving I have seen him throw down! He is looking very strong for our upcoming trip to SES!! BDD and I will both be at Kelly Canyon tomorrow, skipatrol for BDD and I am helping out with a ski race. Cheers!! Get out there and enjoy!!

Is anyone excited about 2010 SES?? I have mentally packed my bags about 2 weeks ago. Work and home life has become increasingly difficult. Couple days of riding this weekend, then a few days of work, a long road trip and I will see you there! Cheers, dredman

Looking forward to seeing our old friend Cor D. Roy. I will have my fingers crossed that we see him at the Blackfoot lift! Yes BigDogDave and I should be there by 0900 at the quad. If we are running late, we will wait at that lift till you loop around. 2 Ravens are you in?

BigDogDave and I will be up on Saturday! 2 Ravens you really should join us,(I can get you the sweet deal ticket) looks like the chance of snow is going to be very low Friday and Sat. Maybe even a good carving day!!

I will only be up at Targhee on Saturday the 30th. I am helping out with a ski race on Sunday, working the rest of the week and departing for SES on the 5th. Please feel free to join me/us at Targhee. Orange helmet, blue jacket. CrackAddict is up at Targhee regularly, 2 Ravens is in Jackson but sometimes comes over to ride with us. As far as boards go...I never leave home without 3. But if you are only bringing one... Forecast shows a slight chance of snow all next week. Targhee usually gets more snow then Teton village, Snowking usually always has good groomers. I guess since you are only bringing one, shoot for an all mountain board. Or bring the carving board and rent a Fish or similar if it starts dumping? I am not a huge fan of all mountain boards, The ones I have ridden are such a compromise that they really do nothing well. However I think Coiler All-Mountain-T is something I would like to try. If it looks like you can make Targhee on Saturday, let me know and I will keep an eye out for you. Hey 2 Ravens or Casper or whoever! Targhee is running another special for season pass holders. A season pass holder can bring 2 friends for $39 each a day. Each season pass holder may only purchase 2 tickets at this price. The special runs until 1/31. I am planning on riding Sat and Sunday if you want to join. I usually have a couple of kids with me that have season passes so we can squeak out a couple extra tickets if needed. Peace

CrackAddict, Thanks for the great observations on Sunday. I worked the rest of the afternoon on it and it really helped! I really appreciate your input! Looking forward to riding with you again. I went up today but the light was flat and they hardly groomed anything, nothing on Blackfoot, very little else where. I rode till noonish and headed back home. The Ghee is in desperate need of snow. The ridge is getting very scrapped off and thin, Blackfoot lift still has the best coverage. Pray for snow!! BigDogDave!! You are making huge improvements each time out! SES here we come!!

Friday, ahhh bliss... 12+ new on the top, 10 at the base, no crowds at all. Top to bottom fall line powder turns all day long. Great visibility. Perfect day at Turner!! Big Mtn on Saturday was a completely different game. Freezing rain that coated you like a glazed doughnut. Made the goggles not work at all. But the grooming was spectacular!!! Fast, firm, carve-a-licious!!! I had to get my $61.00 worth so I looped it 19 times. I was all done by chair 1 closing time, but that robot buddy of mine (Johnasmo) stuck around and looped chair 2 thru night skiing. I imagine he had a 60-70,000 vertical foot day. Down in Boise right now for work, hope to get up to Bogus for some night riding this week. Cheers, dredman

Turner Mtn. in Libby is reporting 8 new for Friday(With the snow that Schwietzer and Big have been getting since Sunday I can only imagine that it should be much more than 8 inches). Temps are to be in the mid 20's by Friday! I am leaving southeastern Idaho this afternoon and will be there bright and early on Friday. Come on up and play!

Ghee turned out NOT to be a carving day, another 6-8 inches on top of the 24+ inches the last couple days...Right tool for the right job...Pow-Stick! Still had a blast!! I think the snow was even better today than yesterday and far less people! 2Ravens!! Glad to hear you had a great day!! Wish I could have seen you ripping it up!!!
