  1. Jack, thatis not so simple with radius :) I'm totally happy owner of Donek FC CS 185 with 11 m radius, it is great board for all smalish slopes or even bigger ones as long you dont go over Mach 1 :D But, i agree that it is not toy for unexperienced rider for big steep slopes.
  2. Both are great boards, either you choose you will be happy .:D For me main difference is that you can get F2 right from shop and go for riding, for Donek you must wait for few weeks OR F2 you get flex/stiffness as they have built it but Donek you get built as you agree with Sean.
  3. Buttermilk, left side slopes of SkiMap. They are nice wide steepish ones and not too crowded. On PC-films there are plenty of clips filmed there. Damn, i miss that slope :D
  4. There are 2 reason fo heel lift. Biigest is too big boots, unfortunately this covers 90% of cases Another one is missdesign of boots, only Raichle/DeeLuxe have middle buckle designed so that it will keep heel down properly, rest really suck, sorry about that But still key is to have small enogh shell size :D
  5. We are planning to experiment that in our Oppdal CarvingCamp :D Unfortunately can not try that with J&P due distance between Finland and Switzerland, but perhaps one of you can try that in Aspen during SES ?? We have tested also holding camera mounted in handlebar and with wide angle lens and shooting back but it is not so easy as it sounds :D Most slopes in Zinal were too steep for me to ride and film same time, i still need practice :p
  6. Zinal Very very small resort, no night life, no crowd. One relative easy slope, three good ones, two seen in pics. Soon there will be full picture gallery and films available, when EC boys are getting all pics and films from various sources :) Best time to go there is with next EC session otherwise it is quite lonely place, i believe, we will make it again next year certainly
  7. I suggest that dont put camera on board, it will not survive, best option is duct tape it to your front boot :D but even that is quite risky if your camera is not on of those small ones.
  8. I added few shots of my camera stand on my site, link is there above :D As you see current proto is very simple and i will modify it triangle so it will not vibrate so much as current one.
  9. Shred, if you are afraid of quality of grooming or crowd, take alook these Zinal pics: http://www.carver.cc/gallery/list.php?exhibition=11 Atleast i was happy there :D and i really hate crowd
  10. Shred, you should make just one reservation on your calendar for next seson: Zinal. That place really screams after your boards and i can quarantee that you will scream of joy riding those slopes, no crowd but nice fast steep slopes :D
  11. It is mounted on my board, 10 cm front of my binding and 30 cm above top of board. I've tried also helmet cam but it does not give same effect :) current stand is too shaky :D but new proto is on way for our Oppdal CarvingCamp :p
  12. That was nice and challenging slope, as Nils said :D Condition and visibility were so great that it was really pleasure ride it, even it still feels little steepish for me :p Untill we wait to official pics and film come out, there are few pics availbale of this and other slope mentioned via my page pokkis.ojankaivajat.org in Pictures Zinal section To see how it feels to ride this slope in Nils picture, you can take alook this onboard camera clip, size 9Megs LeCol Yes, i will upload also pics of my camera setup as soon i have time take pics.
  13. Goto www.extremecarving.com and read how to make eyes pop-out. There are some videos too as reference :D
  14. Im looking for some side cut radius info for few Burners: 178 red color 188 red color 197 blue color Red ones as some showed pics few weeks ago and blue as one on sold in eBay last week.
  15. Raichle 700/Deeluxe Indy same boot, no option, best you can get :D
  16. Aspen - Express yourself 1-12.2, anyone going there ? Looking for someone who could bring pair of NEW TD1 heel pieces there ?? Friend of mine will be there and will be paying normal fee of these. Mine are so worn out that i can not use them anymore so i really need new ones. So please help .:)
  17. It is also question of who has build course. When i build track, it is more carvable and times can be more equal, but when some skier builds track then time difference is larger. But as general thumb of rule, i keep that if i loose more than 10% then either i'm rideing quite badly or track is built for skiers. Specially with short tracks, like here in Finland, one can loose lot in first 3 gates skiers can skate(use poles to gain advance against boarder. But if bord friendly tarck will help a lot. On NM Nastar tracks few years back time difference was in level of 10% for me atleast :D
  18. What slopes you refer as narrow in Trysil ? Some might feel narrow if there is plenty of folks but otherwise they are very carvable :) specially those "black" ones. Yes i must admit that the 45 degres slope is tight
  19. Based on your language skills, you should come to Finland :D Sweden has many good places but Are is great but only of season due huge crowd but slopes are very good ones. Other swedish places are still unknown for me until next HardBootersUnite in March :p Norway, my favorit, they have great slopes and as thumb of rule more distance to Oslo then is less crowd. I can recommend Hemsedal and Trysil closer to Oslo, both are great. Specially Trysil has huge ammount nice dropping slopes but can be crowded during weekends. But my special favorit is naturally Oppdal which is like 400km north from Oslo. We will have there small CarvingCamp at beginning of March, everyone is welcome :D http://carvingcamp.with.ojankaivajat.org/ When you are planing your visit ?
  20. Slopes here are not as big and great as in Alps, but price tags are better. But here are plenty of great slopes for carving too and mostly they are not as crowded as in Alps. But it depends lot where you plan to live here what are your options and how far good slopes are :D
  21. Max you can get out of TD1s is 70 degrees, so your angles are propably 70-60. So without knowing boot size it is hard to say if that is too much. btw board looks to be quite small for dimenssions :D
  22. St Antton Eisfall has steepest drop of 38 degrees: The first was the modified downhill course at Gampen/Kapall, which now has perhaps the longest, steepest downhill section in the world - the fearsome Eisfall (Ice Wall). So i slightly doubt this 45 figure, for normal carvers even 30 degrees is extremely deep, for me atleast :) Many times people mx percentages and degrees, i'm not saying it is case here but i have my doubts.
  23. Levels are quite common brand in Europe. They are considered in general as one of the good brands. I just bought 2 pairs of them for this season. Personally i dont like biomex or any other support systems on gloves but that is another story
  24. Nils i will force you to test it :D But be aware that it will be costly test for you cause you will want one for yourself too :D :D
  25. Erwin, if you are coming to Lech Carving Session, you can test run my Donek 185, it is not necessary model you are after but you get feeling of board.
