  1. I've been riding with green sidewalls and the red sidewalls of the new production Madds and both seem to work great way. The worst part for me with Madd's is that i have now less time with my dearly loved 188 Burner and 175 Swoard :D
  2. When looking carving pics, you must remeber that they are snapshots fraction of second what happened. Debending of timing, one can look good or bad, only way to judge carving is to look it from video, then one can see whole turn after turn. That pic of Harald is from pretty stupid place, there was no speed where i tried to shoot pics, my mistake and i pushed trigger too early  But hey, that's why i use rather video. But back to subject, from pic is rather hard to see if person is touching snow or just having hands over snow. I used to destroy few pair of gloves per season earlier but nowadays one pair will last for few season and only difference is that now i just keep hands very gentle above snow or toch it extremely softly :D
  3. Nils, it is not fair to compare pictures of our mortals to pics of Vahur :D But still this pic by jokke is my favourite, even rider in pic is not me but skywalker : http://koti.mbnet.fi/cmachine/mig/index.php?pageType=image&currDir=./EC2005ℑ=100_0049.JPG Naah, anyway all of us had blasted time and my only defence is that i was shooting with digicamera roughly like half hour but ammount of video is 2h15minutes :D So hopefully on mid- April when next Ojankaivajat film, ACH, is published, there will be good punch of carves also from Zinál too
  4. Here is one 158 in Zinal: http://koti.mbnet.fi/cmachine/mig/albums/EC2005/100_0079.JPG
  5. boostertwo How you can ride with 13 size feet with that low angles ? I have mondo 27.5 on my boards with 18 cm center width and i'm riding with 65/70 - 60/65 ie Burner versus Madds.
  6. I'm starting now 5th season with my heels and they have bout 60+ days per season due no more time for higher season numbers. Cables are more problematic, but i have spare ones on car allways.
  7. From my past experience of WC, it was great place for boarding but not very good one for carving. From your location i would try AngeFire and SantaFe, on both of them should be good carvers, if any BOLers that is unknown for me. Hey, i really miss those places :D specially Muerte and Thunderbird in SantaFe, real nice slopes
  8. Could you open heelpiece and take pic that shows what has happened inside heelpiece ? Specially cause in side picture it looks that heelpiece is not broken as such.
  9. JJ won PSL :D transmission just ended
  10. If you are after standard non-us boards like F2 or Volkl then ebay.de is right place with much smaller about probs with delivey charges, taxes or even lower prices.
  11. Drop me email and let me know preferred file size and i will send material for you :D Zinal is quite lengthy one and pretty much same as available somwhere in edonkey already but i will take look when i see preferred sizes. I will take look for our "Episode 2003: Return of the Carver" if there is something to share too cause i think i have lost trailer for that. btw Please note that according copyrights you should not cut movie
  12. Stoked, if you want, i can suply also full TCSB for you to be shared :D New stuff of 2005 is just on tape and to be taped :)
  13. There is also few copies of our DVD "The Carver Strikes Back" in US side. That material is copy-free material so if you find it, please feel free to copy it. Trailer for that 60 min film is available at stoked.at :D
  14. Bindings totally flat, angles 62/67, stance 51. Boot size 27.5 mondo and height 180 :D That is nice board, but i have recently spend more time on 158.
  15. And racers are also not such stiff old men as most of us, so they can bend to close and open regular bindings :D
  16. thanks Jack, i talked with shaggy and case closed :)
  17. Has anyone manged to get any feedback from Madd folks since Christmass? I'm having urgent issue and been sending them several emails but no repply yet, are they still on holiday ??
  18. Dont miss Santa Fe, they had some great guys there and slopes were superp, specially Muerte. But if i recall right AngelFire used to be centre of all Alpine action in NM. Auch, i miss those places :D tell my regards all there, specially to folks in SantaFe

If you have read EC site for specs for board required, board should be widish and have reasonable radius. So go for Sean and ask suitable for your size. About space required, yes it requires plenty of space but by being early bird you can do some runs and then taking more standard carving later. Swoard works nicely for both, EC and normal carves, as many FC models Sean can offer you :D But remeber, you need to carve first normal way before you can start to EC and it will take quite lots of work. But it is hell lot of fun :D
  20. Yeah it was good :D but best part was that all was reserved just for us for 2 first hours, thanks Mats ;)
  21. This pic, if you remeber seeing it earlier :D , is also from same video.
  22. Yah, Niklas is named as Mister Laydown :) btw that shot is taken from video. They have short video there too and all that is also on The Carver Strikes Back video on HBU section. btw if you are interested to read site, one of these might help you, jost look for swedish to english :D http://216.239.37.104/translate_c?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&oe=ISO-8859-1&langpair=fr%7Cen&u=http://translation.langenberg.com/&prev=/language_tools

    Carving video

Alex, if you have change to come carve with us in Finland, you are welcome :D Perhaps you could join one of our carving sessions. That way you could see real carving in action and also get some advice and feedback of you carves too. :)
  24. Oops i missed that beginner thing in his second message. Then i would take 168 GS :D
  25. Why you choose between 172 Silber and 183 RS ? I would rather choose 173 RS, it has nicer side cut than Silber and you can carve it much easier. Sidecut allows you more EC style riding even board is quite narrow for that. Also they are quite flexy so if you can ride it turns quite nicely and even tight when needed.
