Like Ernie said, you can try Obshop in Laval or Montreal... they still have stuff from the past years. I bought a pair of Burton boots last year for a really good price. They want to get rid of everything since it's been in storage for 3-4 years now. Michel at Sharks is a hardbooter so i would be really surprised he stops selling hardboot gear! He knows he is the only one in the area though.... so you gotta pay big bucks. I would rather buy from BOL or yyzcanuk !
  2. Thx so much Allee !! We got a huuuuuge 10 cm of wet snow yesterday morning... already transformed in hard iced snow !! Damn it !! 1500$ for a plane ticket for Vancouver during new year's period is way too expensive for me.... Didn't even have the chance to try my new Prior yet
  3. That is a great thing. I'll even be able to dry my mitts! D-Sub, it is made by "Noma", as shown on the picture. Don't know if it is distributed in USA though.... Google could probably help you !
  4. Tremblant was supposed to open this weekend and they now have to delay the opening until next weekend at least.... still raining around here and temperarure was as high as 20 deg C this morning !!!! Normal temps this time of the year are around 2-5 deg C !!! What the f*** is wrong with Mother nature ??!!
  5. When we get 10 cm in the Laurentians or Eastern towhships, we're like little kids in a candy store... just imagine having 20 cm of fresh snow !!!
  6. Hey Fred, Compte sur moi pour y être ! I was maybe planning on buying a evening season pass at St-Bruno. Never been there, but since it's only a few miles from home, could you tell me if it's worth buying the pass for a few rides on week nights ?
  7. Derf... chut chut !! Pls don't say that ! A friend of mine was near Ontario border, south west oF Montréal, and told me there was a little snow accumulation on the ground! Make an appointment for your winter tires dude !!!!
  8. Montréal, 5h30 pm... It's snowing !!! Ok, melting snow, but it is still snow !!!! Can't wait to go on the slopes tonight lo
  9. I few years ago, my brother and is "sort-of" girlfriend were at my parent's house on a Friday night. I was probably 12-13 so my bro was 14. I decided that evening that I wanted to bake cookies for the 3 of us. Yeah it happened to me sometimes to act like the mom ! lol So cookies are ready, I know my bro is in the basement with his girlfriend. Never ever came to my mind they would do something.... So here I am, in the basement, with the cookies plate in one hand, looking at my brother, pants down, his girlfriend on her knees giving him a treat ! They never tasted the cookies that night !
  10. Don't forget to check your boot size... short plate is for boot size up to US10 I think. __ Oups... just saw you're 5'4... I would imagine you don't wear big boots !!! Nevermind what I said!
  11. Damn... can't wait to hit the slopes !!!! Stop posting those vids !!!
  12. This is the funniest site of the year "Have a free meal on your birthday and we'll even blow your candle!" BUT... at the same time, there's a press release relating this: This local ski resort has gained ill reputation overnight due to unwanted onslaught of homosexual skiers and snowboarders. "We're just a family ski hill minding our own business and we'd like to keep it that way," sighs Michael. "We will not restrict the access to the mountain to anyone, even if they come from gay San Francisco but at the same time we've got to protect our family values." A local skier who requested anonymity reported that she let her daughters sled and build a snowman not realizing their playmates were children of several gay couples. "When I realized who they were I immediately called my daughters to pack up and go home. Somebody will have to explain me why such a stupid reaction !
  13. In the "Accomodations" section: Clint Cocker the Country Rocker DJ Wood DJ Notoria Flake Hmmmm interesting... but wait, there's something more interesting. Have you guys ever danced like that while waiting for the lifts to open ?? AS they say: "Meet old friends or make new ones but just come"
  14. Happened to me once with my old Kemper Asym 167. Too soft, too small for me. I saw loooooots of stars at that time... Hope it never happens again ! Pour les francos, j'ai crissement planté ben raide ! :D
  15. I got a pair of mitts a few years ago (and yeah, they still do the job) for about 40$. It is a fleece glove underliner with a kind of kevlar mitts that go over the gloves. That "combo" is a real charm for me and I just can't complain about it ! Always warm and you have the advantages of the gloves for grabbing things (or picking up your nose !! )
  16. Well.... didn't call the guy, but you have nothing to lose buddy !
  17. Hey guys, Just found that over the internet. Brand new Rossi VAS, 100$ for the pair !!! (And probably in CDN funds....) Here's the link
  18. Don't worry guys... Canadiens, which is one of the oldest (or maybe the oldest?) team in the NHL and has the most history is now a laughable team..... No real "star", except for Huet who did an amazing job last year and Koivu, whose eye is still recovering... We saw, during the pre-season team, that the team is no longer what it used to be.... I'll give them a chance anyways.... (once again !!!!)

    Ghost car.

That's is soooo weird... Here's the link
  20. BC, you definitly have a Burton from the "Speed" series. The 185 has a waist of 19,5 Burton didn't make any FactoryPrime in 2002. You can see all the specs of that board on Derf's page
  21. My first board was a Kemper Asym, I think it is 167 or something in that range, with those "bright colors" Fritschi (or emery??) bindings. Can't even remember the year/model of that set-up but almost killed myself a couple times before buying new stuff ! I kept that board as a souvenir but would never ride it again ! Thx to oldsnowboards.com, here's a picture of the old lady !
  22. Nope, didn't even see it yet. Heard it's a good comedy based on the "typical hollywoodian recipe". Have to go watch it soon ! Happy you enjoyed it. Not a lot of anglo canadians saw the movie though... you're one of the only i know !
  23. OK I know that one was off-topic, but I had to highlights the differences ! Maybe I should stop thinking about my job when I come here ! heheh
  24. Skategoat... please at least do NOT compare Radio-Canada and CBC. I know it's the same entity, but there are HUGE differences between both TV channels..... CBC is a lot towards american programming and Radio-Can programs only (except for Lost and Desperate housewives) canadian content. TV habits are pretty different in Quebec than they are in the rest of Canada. Because of french language, we have to produce our own stuff instead of buying TV shows from the USA. Of course, CTV, CBC and Global are watched by a lot of people, but most francophones stick to their french programming.
