  1. Anyways.... all opinions have good and bad points... I know a lot of you here on BOL Forum come from Colorado.... Same old story is repeating again.... All my thoughts are with those of you who know students at Bailey's High School. :(
  2. Guys, I totally understand your point. Happy to see you have your own good reasons to carry a firearm and can act responsibly with it. Though, I think we should all ask ourselves why carrying a gun is considered "normal" and why the violence has increased so much in the past years. I don'twant to compare Canada and USA, because there are lots of differences and also lots of similarities between both countries, but most of us don't see the necessity to protect ourselves with a gun. If everybody replies to an act of violence with violence, where will be the limit ? More firearms = more chances that a freako will use one to do whatever he wants. On the other hand, we have really strong firearms regulations and it's not perfect either. Just have to look at what happened at Dawson's College 2 weeks ago...
  3. This is funny... carrying a loaded gun for "self-defense"... How often will you be attacked by a "crazy dingo" in your lifetime ? If somebody wants to rob your wallet, will this be considered as "self defense" ? We're not in Far West anymore. Even if G.W.B still believes he is.... Sorry my "pure maple syrup canadian mind" had to say that !
  4. Hey Rick, Exotic Boards may have what you want. Rossi WC 190, brand new for 375$ http://www.exoticboards.com/catalog/item/2411530/2452595.htm
  5. Pat, I remeber Dan Lachance in Tremblant had 2 brand new Volkl boards... don't remember the lenght though... I think they are 163. U can also try Obsession shop in Laval (obshop.com). They used to sell alpine gear a few years ago and they still have a few things. I saw a Oxygen Proton 168 (I think it was...) . Brand new, still in wraper. It's not the latest model, but they are really negotiable since the stock is kept in the stockroom and they want to get rid of everything!!!! And they probably still have boots too ! I bought Burton Fire boots last year for 200$ CDN (quite a good deal) Give them a call to check for yourself.
  6. Hey Boyracer, just picked a brand spanking new Prior WCR 185 over there too ! They had the nicest deals ever. Too bad they are not selling raceboard gear anymore !
  7. I bought a new jacket and pants last year and since my budget was not unlimited, I decided to search for a good deal. I bought Helly Hansen and i'm surprisingly really satisfied! Pants are super comfortable, not baggy at all, full zip, lower leg reinforced. I paid 100$ for the pants and 125$ for the jacket (all in CDN $$), which is a pretty good deal !
  8. Hey, Just got back from that place with my brand new Prior WCR 185. I'm so thrilled. Just to let you know they don't have race boards anymore, except for Volkl ( I think both are 165 or 168 cm) The have plenty of boardercross and split boards though and a few boots left. If interested, call Samuel at 1-819-425-8985
  9. There's no secret in loosing weight. Exercise, exercise, a good diet and loooots of water ! I was almost 240 pounds 2-3 years ago and then decided to go to the gym and go outside more often (hiking, rollerblades, swimming) It's a long processs, I know, but everything is possible. I'm now 190-195 (6'5 tall) and I've been maintaining my weight for the last 12 months. Go Go Go I'm all with you !!!
  10. I bought a slightly used board 1 month ago and just fell in love with a brand new Prior.... So I am looking to sell my board in order to get the necessary funds to buy the Prior (which is not cheap as u all know!) It is a Hot Blast 178, year 03-04. The guy who previously owned the board rode it for 2 hours since he bought it to use soft boots on it.... (don't ask me why he wanted to make such a thing...) and quickly realized it wasn't meant for that ! The board is truly like new! No scratches on the top sheet either the base. Edges are perfect. Board needs a little tune up since it's been stored for 2-3 years (little rust on the edges). Camber is perfect. Waist is 19.5 but i'll have to confirm. I'll ad more specs tonight. Of course, I don't want to let it go for nothing. But I may be negotiable. Make me an offer if you are interested.
  11. Used USPS and Postes Canada to get the stuff. I think they just decided to get me frustrated I'll call the customs tomorrow to have more details on that situation.
  12. Sucks to get hit for a sale made between two individuals... I would not complain if it was a store, but now... a bit abusive I think !
  13. It's located in New Brunswick, Canada. Pretty far, I know!
  14. Mine as been shipped as a "Gift" and I still got the fees
  15. FYI I bought a used board 2-3 weeks ago and got it shipped to Canada from the US. The seller, thinking he was doing a good move, insured for 600 USD (which is the brand new sale price, not the price I paid!) Canada Customs then charged me taxes and duty fees on a value of 600$.. which is 100$ ! Just to let u know: if you send used gear to Canada, pls don't insure it since duty fees are pretty high !!!! That was my rant-of-the-day !
  16. I'll be buying bindings soon and still haven't decide if I should switch for step-in plates... I had standard bindings since I started carving. Some people told me step-ins are incredible and fast an so on... If I go for step ins, i'll have to convert my boots, which is not really a big deal, even if the heel assembly costs 69$ USD (which will add to the total of the bindings cost) Does it really make a difference or is it just a question of personnal choice? What is your advice ?
  17. Here's a bump. Still didn't buy bindings. (and yes, I know I'm not the only one looking !)
  18. I know Klug sells it... pretty good deal too. Just thought it would interest somebody since it is a complete kit (board, bindings and boots...) and Canadian dollars.... If we want to count more alpine boarders in the "community", we gotta help them find cheap stuff :)
  19. I spoke with the guy before he sold the board. The board was not even a Buy it now and he decided to sell it as a BIN when i showed some interest. The thing is: that board was quite well used as I understood..... he got it from a friend who rode it 3-4 seasons or so... Could not give much info on the overall condition though... Am I stupid if i decided not to buy it ?? hehhehe I have some regrets now but already have 2 boards at home....
  20. Hi folks, Just saw this classified and thought it could be interesting for you. 350$ CDN (approx 300 USD) for the complete kit (board, bindings and boots) sounds like a good deal! Ultraprime
  21. I'm looking for used standard Catek (long plate), F2 or Bomber bindings. I have Burton Fire boots so i would be considering step-in bindings, though I would prefer riding with standard. If you have anything to offer, pls let me know. Thx !
