  2. Hey Hans, Do you have any idea how to get in touch with the manufacturer? I want to get a few pairs in Greece. I tried looking for their web site but couldn't find it.

A trip like that would be extremely interesting. How is the carving scene in Japan? Is there any major Japanese carving site that people refer to?
  5. Unfortunately, its impossible to make a board that can do everything. It all comes down to compromise. Wider boards tend to be gripier during the turn but loose on the transition. I beleive that trying to do a board that can do everything is not an advantage. It will end up doing everything but not to a 100%.
  6. At this price, is it concidered an antique????? A museum piece maybe?
  7. stl indeed. Cobalt can do stls in a blink of an eye
  8. Wasnt that amazing? Best burger I ever had, but then again I am greek. I dont know any better!
  9. if you google a crack for Cobalt I am prety sure you can find it. If you don't I can email it to. First, play around with the trial version to see if Cobalt is suitable for you. The crack is very easy to apply. The crack is an exe file identical with the exe file for Cobalt. After you install the program and you have the crack in a folder just right-click copy the exe file. Then go to program files and find the Cobalt folder. Open it and right-click paste. You should get a message asking if you want to replace the existing file with the one you are pasting. Click yes and the program is cracked. Let me know if you need more help
  10. I would recommend Cobalt by Ashlar. Ideal for product design. I was working for R&D of BIC shaver and although I was using ProE and SolidWorks I found Cobalt to be by far the fastest and easiest to use. Check out www.ashlar.com If you dont have the money to spend and you want to use the software for personal use you can always download the trial version (valid for 1 month) from the ashlar website and then use a crack so you use it indefinitely.
  11. Indeed Jack this is great great article. it is also interesting what ~tb has to say. Frankly I think he has one of the best toe sides I have ever seen. There is a video from the SES that has been uploaded that features ~tb taking some turns. The video start with a toeside turn that Todd puts his left hand (riding regular) behind his back. I am not sure if this is intentional or if my eyes deceive me (probably because of my age) but it looks like a good idea for practice. If the hand is locked behind the back the shoulders would not be able to rotate towards the snow and the only way to put pressure on the edge would be through the hips.
  12. mostly I ride ibex (flat, no canting) which is the old burton race plates. It has no lift and it feels very smooth since it is fairly soft. Phiokkas are also good and similar to ibex in terms of lift but are much harder. After the SES however I started riding TD2s with 0, 0 plates and the softer rings. It took me a while to get used to but now I kind a like them. I think they would even work better with a softer board. At the end of the day it all comes down to personal preference and riding style but riding flat really puts some extra pressure on the edge.
  13. 24 is Alexis Angelides from G-FORCE. Keep up the good work Larry
  14. Its good to hear that the boards does what it is intend to. The principal is to have a board that allows wider angles which means more edge pressure which meens more edge hold which meens getting closer to the snow. But only if you are willing to sacrifice the fast edge to edge transition. If you would use however a binding without lift and cants that would get your feet closer to the board and transition faster not to mention better edge control.
  15. Hey Tod, Send me an email so I can reply with the photo.
