  1. During the 8th, 9th and 10th of March we had our 1st carving Session in Greece!!! The event took place in a ski resort in northern Greece called Mt. Voras and was open for all snowboarders and skiers. The event was organized by G-Force in association with the Mt. Voras resort and snowbar. In addition we had great support by the 3S magazine. The CS08 (carving session 08) included demo equipment for the participants, carving seminars and clinics and on the last day a limbo contest. Joerg Egli from pureboarding was kind enough to travel to Greece and did an amazing job with his clinics. Overall the event was very successful with over 50 participants from all over Greece. We also managed to get a national TV network coverage. Enjoy some photos
  2. I am posting some photos I took During SES. If anybody wants any of these photos in hi-res just email me the number of the photo and I will send it to you.
  3. Definitely SOLDEN. Hero snow most of the time
  4. Al, post your email for the photos or send me an email directly through my website and I'll send you the photos right away.
  5. And lets not forget Al. Let me know if you want any of them in high res.
  6. Hey Felicia, I am glad you have started riding again. Here are some photos for you
  7. NICE!!! That's Rosy Fletcher getting the bronze medal in Torino.
  8. Video and photos are 2 completely different things and a whole different mind setup. This is the second year at SES that I had a chance to work with Sean on taking shots. Sean does an excellent job in taking pictures and has all the right equipment. In a photo shoot it is important that the rider knows exactly where the photographer is and his turns are wide and long so that the photographer has enough time to put him in frame. It is also good if the rider looks at the camera. In terms of video the rider needs to forget that there is a video on the mountain and ride as natural as possible. the camera needs to film constantly. For an hour of filmed video you will probably get 5 minutes of actual footage that you can use. But the most important part is the editing. The camera usually takes away 20% of the speed you are coming down with, so a usefull tip is to playback at slightly higher speed. I have seen videos that looked boring as hell but when I saw them edited with music and transition they looked completely different. Here are some photos that Sean took during the SES.
  9. Well, I am 1.94 cm and weigh about 200 pounds. My foot size is 12 and I am a really nice and gentle guy!!!! Sorry, just bragging. 176 is ideal for my size. You need to keep in mind that the razor is a bit stiffer than an average freeride board in order to provide edge hold. It is the distribution of stiffness however that makes the difference and makes it also great for powder.
  10. Good idea. I wouldn't mind sponsoring the development of such a gadget. I could then market it under the g-force brand
  11. These are some photos of the RAZOR that Sean managed to take during the 2008 SES. From the time I spend on the razor I realized that the board can do exactly what an alpine board does if you are willing to "sacrifice" the tight and precise feel of hard boots. In my opinion this board does exactly what it is meant to do. Provide enough edge hold to allow EC turns in soft boots. I also got to ride it in powder and it was great. Great float and quick to manouvre in the trees. I was riding this board (176) with Catek FR2s limited and Andy Warhol Burton boots. The angles were 47 and 44. Since however I worked with Sean to create this board my opinion shouldn't count. If anybody else has some feedback please post.
  12. Geoff, how can I contact Bob? I need a couple of images for magazine publication. Thanks for all your help.
  13. Thanks Geoff, But I tried everything and the only option I get is to buy prints. According to the instructions the gallery creator needs to put a save icon somewhere. Unless I am doing something totally wrong!!
  14. I checked again and new images have been added. All the images come with a proof sign written on them. Does any one have any idea how to purchase an actual photo? It looks like if I click on buy photo (smugmug) I only get options for prints.
  15. These pictures are GREAT!! However Bob was showing more of them during the banquette. Any chance he will be posting more pics???????
  16. Kimo, great thread!!!! I d pay anything and so would all the riders that came with me from Greece. It is a pity that there will not be a video of the 2008 session. I would rather have the cost incorporated in the total package just to make sure that we do have a video!
  17. this is a photo from the SES 2008. I am riding a G-FORCE RAZOR 176 with Catek FR2 Limited (47 and 44 degrees) with burton andy Warhol soft boots. With this set up I was able to carve just as good as I do with my hard boots. Sean took some great photos of soft boot carving and I will post them as soon as I have them.
  18. We will also have RAZOR demos at the SES. This board is primarily a soft boot carver or can be used with hard boots for POW
