  1. We are very excited to join the SES again. We can hardly wait. 15 Greeks (all geeks) with flights and housing booked. Arriving on the 5th of Feb leaving on the 15th.
  2. I have been riding Deeluxe indys for 4 years now. Good boots but quite stiff for free riding or carving. Last year in Solden I tried on the RC10 and I was impressed. By far the lighter boot I have ever worn. The inner boot after 10 minutes felt like it was hugging my leg from all sides. Also the shortest base available (ideal for riders with large shoe size). I went ahead and ordered a pair!
  3. You are correct. The 2 last photos of ma are on the RAZOR with Cateks and burton boots.
  4. During SES Sean always comes through with some really nice shots.
  5. Thanks Uwe, We all had a great time with you guys, and I really think the organization was excellent. Keep up the good work!!! Hope to see you guys soon!!
  6. Will be posting more. Everything is available in hi-res.
  7. Congratulations to the organizers of the event!!! It was awesome! The snow conditions were great and mountain rocked. Enjoy some photos!!
  8. I would like to offer my opinion concerning the BLADE. First of all riding ice is a very tricky thing. It needs a lot of experience, precise technique, sharp edges and a narrow-er board usually helps by making the transitions faster since ice is not ideal to make wide laid out turns. The BLADE was developed as a freecarving board which allows higher binding angles and therefore a more relaxed stance during riding. For some people higher binding angles mean more edge presure and better edge hold, the basic ingredients for wide laid out turns. The wider width however works against the fast edge to edge transition which for a freecarving board we didn't think it was that important as oposed to a race board. It is also obvious that the wider the board the better floattaion it provides in powder. When designing a board it is important to set priorities concerning the use of the board. Every rider has his own riding style and preferences. It is almost imposibble to construct a board that will aplly to everybody. History has shown that products that are designed for multiple uses tend to fail since its impossible to perform 100% in every condition. When somebody buys a board it is also important to be versatile and adjust to each board riding requirements. It is 2-way relationship. It might take some time but when rider and board work together....it can be magic!
  9. For those of you who are interested you can download a higher resolution pdf file from: http://www.gforcecarving.com/ee_april_article.pdf
  10. This is an article I wrote in a new greek extreme sports magazine. Unfortunately it is in Greek.
  11. Funny enough, my resort here in Greece will be open till the end of April. We got 30 cm of fresh snow last weekend. Who would have guessed.
  12. Thanks Tom, Indeed I am also looking forward riding with you next year. Saw the pictures. They are amazing!!! My only chance now for getting some good conditions is the carving masters festival in Solden which I will be going to on the 1st of March. Hopefully will be a nice season end. Will be posting photos and comments.
  13. 1 whole cm???? I guess it's powder day for us!!!!!!
  14. I also went through that half way through the season without swaping the bindings between boards. The yellow rings are way too soft. If you start using the purple rings you will find that they are more durable and the slight change in stiffness won't affect your riding. Plus for some reason the purple rings when installed on a board, look like they are BLACK which I like concidering my dark soul.
  15. Looking at photos like that during this particular time of the season makes you want to change your country of residence. Nice photos Tom!!!
  16. I see what you are saying although the difference is not that big but thanks for the info Tom.
  17. Hey Tom, I tried that but I don't see much of a difference. How does this work?
  18. When we left SES2008 on our way to Denver we made a quick stop at Arapahoe Basin and shot some footage.
