  1. Couldn't resist sharing these photos. I took them last year in the olympics in Torino. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Goofy, very goofy. Looks like out of control when they get too close to the snow
  3. Blades have been sold in Europe and so far the responce is great especially about the stability of the board inside a turn as well as its excelent construction quality.
  4. indeed it has especially since the metal edge of the board does not wrap around the nose and tail
  5. They are supposed to be good boards. However a lot of people in Europe have been complaining about their construction quality
  6. Well guys you wouldn't beleive how excited I am to meet all of you and participate in the SES although it is a round the world trip for us. As for my crew, it will just be me and my wife. The rest of the crew will be with us in spirit!
  7. Well guys, I will give you the whole story. I am a product designer based in Athens-Greece and have been snowboarding for many years. In addition I have been working as a technician for the US snowboard team (alpine) when they were coming to Europe to participate in major events like world cups and the olympics in Torino. Technician means that I was involved in the preparation of the boards in terms of wax and overlays plus performing glide test on the day prior to the race. Since I got to know a lot of people in the business like athletes, coaches and equipment manufacturers I decided with the information that I have acquired and the help of other people to start something that would give me the oportunity to develop a brand name, improve or try to improve equipment, promote the Greek carving scene and have plenty of fun doing it. As mentioned in the site we are not trying to compete with anyone but promote the sport we love. Since the brand name is new and its very difficult to gain trust it was important for me to get a manufacturer who could guaranty the quality of the boards. And thats how we got in business with Donek. It was very important that Sean Martin beleived in the idea and helped us out. The blade was inspired by the swoard in terms of width. The objective however was not to copy but to create a wider alpine board with the characteristics of a race board. In general we have a lot of work ahead of us and we want to achieve a status of an R&D strictly for carving. So far things are looking very promising. Sales in Europe are going very well and we are planning to be in the 2007 SES with Donek where people will have a chance to test ride and give feedback. The most important thing however in this effort is the support that we are getting from carvers around the world and particularly from riders in this forum. At the end of the day that what makes it worthwhile!!!
  8. I have no doubt that the EC session in Zinal will be excelent unfortunately we cannot do both at this time. We decided this year to concentrate on the SES since we are just starting with the G-FORCE concept and there is a lot of work to be done. Hopefully next year we will put our efforts in Europe!
  9. Hi Henry, I agree we need some independent reviews on the Blade and we are planning to get demos in europe at some point. Our main concern at the moment is SES and we have put all our efforts in it since it is the biggest carving fest in the world. We will both going to be there with demos and hopefully will will get some people on them who will give us some feedback. After that we will be looking at europe.
  10. As Sean said we didn't feel we needed to make any major adjustments to the board. So far the feedback from riders was that the board handles great! Hopefully we will get a lot of input from the 2007 SES. There will be test boards for people that want to have a go. In the mean time here are some images of stuff
  11. I will be representing G-Force Carving in the SES 2007 with my wife. Hope to finaly see and meet you all
  12. Next season guys ECES with test boards and I hope I'll meet all of you
  13. Hans, Please direct your questions to the g-force web site and we 'll get you all the info you need. Mike T next ECES I ll be there and we'll have some boards to test
  14. Thanks Jack, I am not sure if anyone uses bi-axial right now but I have a HOT board that uses bi-axial and I am prety sure Freesurf used bi-axial but in any case you maybe right. We might have to rewright that part.
  15. Ari why dont you send me an email through the gforce website. I am not sure if the EC guys would like to help us promote the boards since there maybe a conflict of interest with the SWOARD
  16. For more information concerning the specs go to the website indicated below. There is a pdf file in the products section.
  17. indeed it is wide, We dont want to make a race board. We want raceboard specs on a carving board
  18. Hi everyone, Just wanted to post the first photo of the board we are producing with Sean Martin at Donek. Price will be available soon. Any comments?
  19. Just a suggestion! I usualy put my new boards in the sauna after I apply a soft wax on the base. That gets the base saturated straight away. I even do this process on older boards at the begining of each season.
  20. I know that 4 years ago they were trying to sell the molds. So I think thats when they stopped. It s too bad that most of us never tried Northwaves and probably never will.
  21. Since I ve been in the Olympics with the US snowboard team I can tell you first hand. Most of the riders were wearing Deeluxe. Only 5 or 6 riders in total were wearing Northwaves and the rest were wearing fires, heads and Upzs. Sigi is on fires, amelie kober is on deeluxe, Tyler is on Upzs and Michelle Gorgoni is on fires. Let me know if you want more pictures posted
  22. Good stuff, I totaly agree with what you describe. The fact that you plan to EC on a board makes neccesary for a board to be able to pop and work like a spring. I find it a bit more difficult to transition with a swoard. You need to work your legs a lot to be able to exit a turn. So I dont think its a placebo effect.
