I'll be there. How much for the group rate ticket?
  7. For my first 10 years in a hardboot setup, i used a set of 29.5 burton reactors, followed up by a set of 30.0 burton furnaces. Both boots I found at a tremendous deal, and I didnt really care that i swam in them...especially since it's all I could find at the time here in MN, and I refused to use ski boots. Gotta love extra socks! Keep in mind, I use a 28.0 Head boot now. My point is this, even using huge boots, like the 30.0 furnace, I was able to set up my Factory Primes, all with a 18cm waist, with little to no toe/heel hang. Yea, I rode 69 degrees front and back, but it still worked. I prefered the high angles. However, given the current sources for hardbooters, you should be able to find something used, or new, depending on budget to fit you riding needs. I'm now living by the philosophy that WIDER is better. My Donek has a 23.5cm waist, and my angles are down to 52 front and rear. I have a Burton Factory Prime 7.3, w a 18cm waist w Burton race plates mounted and ready for some big boots. If interested, let me know. Its just sitting in my board case, as i have no use for it anymore. If money is not an issue, get a DONEK, some TD2's and a good boot. ~Holla
  8. I was searching for a thread that listed what people are riding. Board stats, binding set up and a small rider profile. I figure with enough feedback, someone new to the sport, or someone looking to change things up will have a place to see what works for others. So here it goes. DONEK Blade 180(medium flex), 14m sidecut, 23.5 waist Bomber TD2's with 0 cant/lift, yellow(soft) rings and the Bomber suspension system. 21.5" stance, 0 setback(centered), 52 degrees front and back. Head Stratos Pro's, size 28. I'm 6'3", 190lbs, riding since 1988. I rode a 20" stance about 1/2" back last season. First day out this year, it immediatly felt like my feet were too close. After seeing the stance ratio on extremecarving.com, I found a set up that I cant imagine changing. To find this, take your height in inches, and divide by 3.5. In my case, 75"/3.5=21.42. I tried 21.5, and love it. It looks really wide, but it works for me.
  9. When and where gentlemen? Is it even happening?
  10. I've got the Blade 180M and couldn't be more happy with it. I'm using the TD2's with the extra suspension kit. My factory prime will never see snow again.
  11. I've got one. The 180M in black. SICK DUDE!!! I love the width, I ride really low angles now, well, atleast for me they're low. 52 front and rear, dead center on the sidecut. I finally was able to ride it in some ok hardpack last week...this thing rips. I'm 6'2", 195, and the medium is plenty stiff. FYI...this motha makes BIG turns at speed. 14m sidecut. Don't get me wrong, you can still do some pretty tight turns, but once you gain a good amount of speed, you can easily lay one out for a few seconds. Never once did I feel like the nose might fold, or come close to loosing an edge. I have noticed that the harder the snow, the better it performs. In the soft stuff, it makes some major trenches. If you have the means.....DO IT! And if you go with TD2's...get the suspension kit for them.
  12. So...my new board showed up today. A day early. I'm hittin up Hylands in the morning for a few test runs. This is such a solid set up!!! I can't wait. Looks like conditions will be good Wed.
