  1. No keystone is all i ask:barf:
  2. ive never seen one like that, very cool.
  3. those are some thick plates! sorry to hear about your injury, at least youll still be able to go out and ride again. Just don't underestimate the sidecut of a GS board again and youll be fine;) has the board (overdose) been shipped out to Germany yet? keep us posted on the progress.
  4. sweet deal! i never thought it would happen, but im glad you kept up the search and it finally paid off:biggthump let me know how it is. I hope it's worth the wait. Tip from a pogo rider: using modern western carving technique, the best stance on a pogo is set back slightly (i have my rear binding all the way back, and the front binding between the middle and forward inserts). A recent discovery after tinkering endlessly with the width, cant, lift, and angles. I finally found the perfect stance:1luvu: The blitz has a slightly wider stance than my Overdose, but a simmilar rule should still apply. Or it may be completely different for you and your board, im just putting in my 2 cents. again let me know how it rides!! edit: ohh and post pictures when you get the chance!
  5. what are your binding angles? every oldschool setup ive seen has a crazy shallow rear foot, then a 50 + degree front foot
  6. Good to hear, I hope it turns out alright in the end. That board is too cool to retire!
  7. Are there even boots out there anymore for alpine that can be considered "women's specific"? (i am asking out of genuine interest because my girlfriend wants to get into Alpine) the Deeluxe T225 seem like the closest thing, though theyre not really molded specifically for women.
  8. the coiler would have a more simmilar feel to what you ride right now, besides i thought you didnt like the color;) you should wait till after the ECES to decide on another board. The Blitz would take a lot of getting used to, itll be way more lively and unforgiving than the FP you ride right now, not a good combo when youre thinking about getting your first board with a large sidecut. Bruce's boards are known for being damp, and when tuned for your weight and riding style you should be able to rip with ease on a coiler, rather than meeting frustration for a month or so. The Blitz would take a lot of getting used to. But if you feel its what you really want after this season, then yeah go for it.
  9. hmm, looks like their "double insert" system worked, but in a tragic way. instead of ripping out individual inserts, you managed to rip them all out! yikes! from what i understand, their policy is free repair jobs (if they can do it). I dont know what their warranty policy is, especially since you bought it used

    On Line gaming

id suggest an Xbox, a subscription to Xbox live (gold), you have to plug it into the internet via ethernet cable (you can probably figure out a wireless setup, i never tried). For the games, halo 3 and call of duty 4 are great (as long as you dont mind getting called a f@&&ot by 10 year olds every 5 seconds) for PC, homeworld and homeworld 2 are my favorites (3D strategy type games)
  11. can of worms classic... diet is for whimps.
  12. alpine boards are probably the worst for powder. they can be ridden, but with more difficulty than fun i think. youll want a wider board with more nose than an alpine board. you dive the nose of a GS board, you become a human catapult. its pretty easy too
  13. :lol:sadly, i didnt catch the pun at first:o
  14. a lot of people won races on that board! shred is being very generous for letting someone like me get that board for such a good price:rolleyes:
  15. when im not paying attention, my back leg tends to pivot in a circular motion. when i am, they pretty much hold the same position, and all the movement is in the hips
  16. i wouldnt bother trying to mutilate those perfectly good boots if i were you. You should probably just chop off some toes:eplus2:
  17. maybe a ski mountaineering boot? http://www.garmontusa.com/621006211.html
  18. I've drawn a few trails on there. It's pretty sick, I must say. Too bad Mt Greylock was closed this summer for road work, otherwise I would've hit it thanks to this map:biggthump
  19. Never really thought about taking a trip up there, we might check it out sometime though. As for the core four, ive heard about it here and there but i think the actual article was before my time and i never saw it.
  20. will you coach again in 7 years? no way i can make it this year. first year of college, loads of school work/work work, no money, all that stuff. but once i graduate i'll be able to do what it takes.

    Jiminy 12-13

i might be heading up there, weather work and $$ permitting.
  22. Thanks for the advice! i guess i dont have enough experience with boards to have thought of that:smashfrea As for me: I want to know what to do with my hands. I was pretty tense in the video due to the scary snow conditions, but even in hero groom im unsure. Also, my edge change from appx t=40s to t=43s looks strange, and i cant figure out why. Does it look like im pumping? that could have carried over from longboarding. should i not?
  23. so this time we have a little more to work with (though the low lighting made it difficult and the conditions still werent very good) so anyone have any pointers? any obvious mistakes we're making that when fixed will improve our riding? All comments are appreciated! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao31nDv2aiY </EMBED>
  24. testing to be conducted tonight, i will report back as soon as i can. Thanks for the tips everyone, and especially gleb for the vid. hows school going? first semester killed. we have to maintain 2.5 over here or we get the boot!
  25. the more i ride hardboots, the less i like softboots. i gave up on softies altogether now (although i dont know what im going to do for a rock board:confused: ) because i just can't stand the slop.
