  1. ahh thats more like it garecht, you're finally an alpine boarder:biggthump
  2. SOmething just dawned on me... an overwhelming amount of people who post here are adults who have fairly set careers and at least a little bit of financial security. Paragon is in high school:lol:
  3. spot on! that is, if this weekends conditions dont break him before he can figure out alpine:eplus2: The FP isnt the best board out there, but its hard to beat the price, and it will carve (very well, as i have seen from other riders on FPs). On top of that, this kid's going to be riding some pretty narrow terrain and the smaller size might come in handy there too (keep in mind too that most normal snowboarders dont even ride boards that are 160+ cm, and im pretty sure after riding my longboard 175 he's not going to want to ride something that long for a while:p ). Hopefully we won't have an icy saturday at Jiminy peak!

    got goggles?

ooo... might have to replace the oakleys:1luvu:
  5. So of you chip the nose, youre only down a buck!
  6. you know its wierd, but ive seen a lot more "oldschool" looking outfits on the slopes lately (solid neon orange coat w/ solid bright blue beanie... that sort of thing) and boards or skiis with neon bases ala undercarraige LEDs... pretty soon you'll be taking those UPS boots out again just to stay cool!:p

    got goggles?

Scott makes my favorite "night riding" goggles. A very unique lense, its light blue and its supposed to keep your eyes from dialating and contracting repeatedly while you go between bright light and no light. It seems to work, and makes night riding even more enjoyable:biggthump
  8. i know you're new to this forum but:nono: ... this thread is useless without pictures!!!
  9. it is a very sick helmet, and definately the easiest way to find you.
  10. boarding? i dont remember doing any boarding that day... just hopping from mogul to mogul:smashfrea
  11. I remember those... wow, those things were ancient! kinda cool though. appx same vintage as the bomber toasters if i remember correctly. edit: and yes garecht, he does... in fact if you ask really nice he might help you get used to the new setup:biggthump
  12. wait deja-voux (or however thats spelled...) didnt we have an endless barage of "free willy" posts durring Willywhit's suspension?:p
  13. I would support keeping it completely undeveloped wilderness.
  14. Which is nice, but id rather it belong to none of us.
  15. the Garmont Megarides... are there any drawbacks to them? they seem ideal to me but i want to know what theyre like (especially if you can compare them to Deeluxe boots)
  16. I wouldnt want to ride a skiier made mogul pit anyhow. Keep the ski only mountains i say, we need a place where all the snobs can go and leave the rest of us alone:smashfrea
  17. well a skinny bare early season run made of ice and death cookies isnt exactly the longboard's niche, but it was still pretty funny watching that go down:lol:
  18. Well you could always wait 6 years for me to get one, then 2 to 5 years more for me to retire it:eplus2:
  19. stuck right to the hardboots!
  20. picture of the damage? and for parts, klug might have some or you could ask around and see if another carver is willing to give/sell/trade them to you.
  21. Does anyone know of the old burton disks work with the new burton bindings? (ex: are burton race plate disks interchangable with cartels?) i have a friend who might be willing to trade.
  22. I would definately like a swoard, though im going to need more practice before i can use the technique correctly. An after college board, for sure.
  23. A great day, sorry i couldnt stay to ride with you. my body felt like someone had gone over the whole thing with a meat tenderizer after riding the ice and death cookies on friday. Conditions really improved, and except for a few spots where it was darker and icy it was perfect for carving! Now i've just got to remember how to do it right... im slowly getting back in the groove:D Ohh, and make sure you bring the carver next time so we can teach paragon how to really snowboard;)
  24. Because variety = good:biggthump
