  1. very cool, makes the extreme carver much more accessible... to people who actally have money anyway:smashfrea
  2. beautiful boards them rossis:1luvu:
  3. Got it? shipped already???? bring it tomorrow!!!! edit: ohh, and if the FP seems too stiff I'll gladly break it in for you;)
  4. Youve got that right! I don't have the money... yet... but I want to know the difference for when i do have the money:lurk:
  5. so id be right in saying that they give extreme oppisite characteristics? (zylon=uber lively, metal=uber damp)
  6. Ok i did a search on this but it still leaves me wondering... lets say im going to order a shiny new virus in the extreme series, but im torn between zylon and titanal! which one is better for what?

    Off snow training

Longboarding? It's loads of fun, and you can still be carving in the off season:biggthump
  8. any disadvantages to the lowered ride? or is it all good?
  9. Im usually slightly back, a few mm or so. It seems to be easier for pushing forward at the initiation of a carve. I feel like i have more room to pull myself back (and the board forward) durring the carve itself. Just my novice observations though.
  10. I liked my old burtons, they were heavy though (due to springs between the heel/toe blocks and the footbed). I didnt like how the shell overlapped though, and i also didnt like how flimsy the plastic seemed. never tried the other brand. i have no house, just a dorm room:freak3:
  11. Ask Dave Espi where he got his... its friggin sweet!
  12. do a search for "hot box" (on bol, don't use google;) ) and see what comes up... i think there was a discussion on do-it-yourself hot boxes. just my 2 cents
  13. we need more boots over here!! gahh, i feel like theres a million boardmakers and only one bootmaker for alpine. Maybe i'll just throw away all my ambitions and start making hardboots:smashfrea
  14. Gaper goes a little beyond the gap, saying they got the gap from standing around looking up, "gaping", as many people who have no idea what to do will do.
  15. i think the point thats being missed here is that Virus basically stole narrow boards from the Squal designers. I mean, seriously! those dirty thieves:AR15firin And Bomber stole "expression session" from the surfing industry. My buddy won't even talk to alpine snowboarders because of it.
  16. from previous threads, the japanese market prefers the deeluxe boots mostly because the G-style boots are much heavier than the deeluxe.
  17. absolutely nuts. 9 million dollars... i dont think the seller anticipated that (original price was a little under 2000)
  18. i was wondering when there would be an actual alpine board designed for softboots. my only question is what does the 182 cm long board with the 25.5 cm waist weigh in at
  19. looks like temps are being more consistant this year <knock on wood>. Hopefully it'll be more favorable for snowmaking. any riding is better than no riding
  20. Isnt there a Prior board and a SG board for that as well? The ATV is softboot-able from what ive heard, as is the SG soul (http://www.sgsnowboards.com/). The Arbor A-Frame would be great too, if you want something less directional (and it looks dead sexy). Neversummer's good too.
  21. There is none:o what they have is the rope tow type "slope" (completely flat) for those first timers that are trying to learn how to ski before they learn to walk, and then the next progression is a low intermediate run labeled wrong:p At least thats how i saw it then...
  22. except beginners... when i first rode gore i was just learning how to ride, and it kicked my ass. Now i love it though
  23. very cool, working on your own resteraunt somewhere down the road? Make sure you open up shop somewhere near me... where it wont be too far out of the way coming back from riding!
  24. im sorry for your loss Dave. On a brighter note... its... starting...
