  1. Listerene to rinse with or so I have heard. I rode one day with mine and did not care for the feel. I always carry a bottle of something.
  2. Buggs -the tip on Sportlegs is to start taking it an hour or so you start riding. Don't wait until lunch or at the end of the day to start. If riding into the afternoon, take another dose at or just before lunch.
  3. For us older riders from the flat lands, you might be better off with a quarter to one full aspirin to thin the blood at altitude.

  7. One area linked to from sporting goods indicates an excess fee of $175 based on . . . <TABLE class=cleanTable><TBODY><TR class=odd><TD>63–80 inches (161-203 cm) —total of length plus width plus height </TD><TD>$175 each</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> <TABLE class=cleanTable><TBODY><TR class=even><TD>Over 80 inches (203 cm) —total of length plus width plus height </TD><TD>not permitted</TD></TR></TBODY><TFOOT><TR><TD colSpan=2> </TD></TR></TFOOT></TABLE> I used FedEx in 2009 to Aspen and will do so again in 2010. What a shocker to put one self through at the check in counter on day 1 of a trip.
  8. Check your airline's website for the details. You may be dissapointed heading to Vail to carve on a weekend as the place tends to get lots of traffic on the weekends.

  11. This board should go for at least $300 as a demo at the SES!

  14. I have both Prima and the larger Ouzo and I prefer the Ouzo's as I have a big face. The Ouzo offers a wider perifery (sp) which is important to me!
  15. I have a pair of the Series II and can fit two alpine boards with binders plus a set of skis and poles into one Tube. To fit, I mount two sets of binders onto one board then place the top of the longer board under the base of the top (shorter) board. Foam pipe insulation around the edges and tail then secure the stacked boards with appropriate lengths of Velcro. I believe the Series II is longer than the Series III.
  16. Southwest Airlines has confirmed plans to begin nonstop service to Denver International Airport (DEN) starting March 14, 2010 at an introductory fare of $79. One flight per day Sunday through Friday will depart Bradley at 8:10 a.m., arriving at Denver International Airport at 10:30 a.m.. This morning arrival is timed to allow passengers to connect with Southwest cities throughout the western U.S. The return flight leaves Denver at 3:45 p.m., arriving at Bradley at 9:30 p.m. A Saturday flight leaves Bradley at 9:05 a.m., arriving 11:25 a.m. Another Saturday flight leaves Denver at 11:20 a.m., arriving at 5:05 p.m. to Bradley. Southwest Airlines is now serving Bradley passengers with 17 daily nonstop flights to seven cities. The new service will provide travelers with the only nonstop flight between Denver and Hartford since 2007. "Southwest's confidence in Bradley Airport and its ability to support this service is the latest encouraging news that travel for business and pleasure is on the upswing," said Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell. "It's certainly welcome news for residents of New England who vacation in the West, and business travelers coming to New England.” Added Southwest Airlines Chairman of the Board, President and CEO Gary Kelly, “This daily service will give passengers flying out of Bradley low-cost access to world-class skiing, the thriving Denver business community, and connections to dozens of Southwest's destination cities in the U.S. "We think Denver is a vibrant market for Bradley Airport with both business and leisure customers. It also makes sense in our schedule for customers going coast to coast or anywhere east to west,” Kelly said.

  19. Dry run - I first took an empty SporTube to FedEx and extended to the know length and estimated the weight at 40 lbs so they each could provide cost and timing to deliver to our destination.
  20. Have had good results with shipping in a double ski SporTube via FedEx. Had a Sr. moment this year as I grabbed the wrong key ring when we left home and the key to the paddle lock stayed home. Had to visit the Glenwood Springs Police Dept upon arrival to have them use a their bolt cutters to cut the lock. At Mike T's suggestion, I established an account with FedEx for ease of billing and a bit of a discount. We also ship a stereo receiver box with other items (boots, goggles, helmet and gloves).
  21. I wear altered SuperFeet footbeds in all my shoes and custom orthodics in my ski and board boots. The heels are shimmed on mine to correct pronation. You have to buy good shoes along with the footbeds. For street shoes, New Balance and Dunham's have helped me. Try to catch them on sale and choose a running shoe as opposed to a walking shoe as the running shoe will offer better support. http://www.nbwebexpress.com/newbalanceMR1123MC.htm. When I get a new footwear I will also change out the Superfeet. Get a tennis or golf ball and roll your bare foot on the ball while sitting at your desk. Be on the look out for some Yoga foot stretching exercises. http://physicaltherapy.about.com/b/2008/04/14/foot-stretches.htm
  22. Suggest staying in the valley, plenty of options for lodging at lower elevation; either Downtown or Midvale. If You are skiing, I would put Alta at the top of list to spend a day or to combine with Snowbird. Two others not to be missed, non-destination areas and least riders per acre: Snowbasin Powder Mountain http://www.skiutah.com/winter/index.html http://www.visitsaltlake.com/visit/ http://www.powdermountain.com/mtn_snowcat.php http://www.saltlakecityutah.org/ http://www.saltlakecityutah.org/skiutahlifttickets.htm http://www.skinsee.com/tickets.html http://www.liftopia.com/ski-resort-info/state/UT/Utah.htm http://www.canyonsportssandy.com/utah_discount_lift_tickets.php http://www.discountlifttickets.net/liftticketdiscounts-utah.htm
