jdgang
Other than the standard things you can do with Duct Tape. ie: Fix boots bindings and boards. Are there any other uses for this great invention?
Daneille
We always have dark duct tape in the car. It works great for quick fix on pants, gloves and jackets. I have seen people showing more tape than pants. Daneille
Allee
It holds your car mirror on when some ba$tid sideswipes you in the carpark and then buggers off. Luckily I never travel without it.
Jon Dahl
Use it on my heels instead of moleskin, as a preventative measure for hot spots. Stays put better.
LeeW
The cuff of snowboard pants are usually taped with duct tape. Mine hasn't shredded yet, but eventually it will be from constant scoffing with the boots.
Steve Dold
Heh...funny thread. I used to put a strip of it over the tops of my sawhorses, so that I could lay boards across them base-up and not scratch the topsheets. After using it to "repair" the worn-through palms of a couple of expensive pairs of gloves, it finally dawned on me that I could put it on gloves BEFORE they had holes, and then I'd just wear through duct tape and never get holes in the gloves to begin with. Sometimes it takes me a long time to figure out such simple, obvious things.
Neil Gendzwill
This summer I actually used the stuff on ductwork. First time.

ak_rider
In AK we would put strips of duct tape on our faces to prevent frostbite.not all over our faces though, mainly where the bottom of the goggles were. worked better than fabric because it would keep the wind out. Guest Randy S.
Other uses: I've heard it makes warts go away. Depilatory? Who needs wax? Holds lots of motorcycles together. Going camping, put a few wraps around your nalgene bottle so you don't have to schlep a whole role of duct tape. It'll be there if you need it. I've fixed gloves and ski pants. Made smoking devices with it.
cfj04
I can't help myself - isn't there a joke about duct tape and a squirrel Does that count in this discussion? Sorry ;)
Slow Eddie
Made smoking devices with it. And I thought the wallets were cool. Riding in Sorels with ski boot liners was just plain uncomfortable until you wound 'em up with duct tape. Then they were...um, I guess they were still uncomfortable, but toesides were easier. Fleaman
I use it on the inside back of my Lemans shells, it helps slide the liner in and out without tearing it on the inner lip of the bottom peice. The coolest thing I have seen with duct tape is a portrait of the Mona Lisa on a hard hat using only Duct tape.

C5 Golfer
I used it for taping up the seams of my heating ducts. Worked great!
Guest Randy S.
Here are some interesting uses. This school principle challenged his students to read some crazy number of pages during the year. For each 1000 pages they read, they got a 1 yrd piece of duct tape and could use it to tape him to the wall: These students reupholstered a couch: Before: After: Duct tape for homeland security: Strapless bra:
Jon Dahl
Not repair, a pair of shoes made of duct tape! 18 y.o. kid who's a family friend made a pair of these. Hates regular shoes, goes barefoot almost all season. Who can argue with him, he's a work animal and a good hearted fellow to boot.
Guest Randy S.
More Strapless Duct Tape Bras. These are Not Safe For Work so they are links. Peace Girl Cover Girl Trucker Hat Bud Light Girl Then there is Duct Tape Bondage. Now it could start getting really NSFW if you want it to. Bound "X" Girl - Work Safe Bound But Still Defiant - Work Safe - Aisling might look like this if you bound her! Or Duct Tape Protests: That's all for now. skategoat
I remember reading a story in National Geographic about a guy who bushwhacked his way across Africa (coast to coast) wearing Teva sandals and using duct tape as bandages and moleskin. It was something like a 2000 mile walk.
D.T.
Just watch the Red Green Show. :D "Duct tape, the handyman's secret weapon." "If the women don't find you handsome, they should aleast find you handy."
Justin A.
Red Green is such an awesome show. I rememeber one where they made a station wagon into a driving workout center using household materials and DUCT TAPE. Duct tape is the force that they talk about in star wars, it has a dark side and a light side, and it holds everything together. ________ RHODE ISLAND DISPENSARIES

LOL. Brings me back to my college days... except, it was "you can do anything with duct tape and milk crates".
Zone
Latest medical breakthrough (well actually 2-3 years old now): works great for wart removal (as well as liquid nitrogen), leave it on 24/24 for 2 months. Most warts are gone in one month. Painless and you will be on the cutting edge of medical research.
