Bodyweight training for strength and mobility

Hello All,

Do you have any recommendations for bodyweight (low impact) training for strength and mobility for an aging snowboarder? I finished this season sore and would like to start next season strong(er).

I hope all is well out there!

Best,

_Mike

I've used both a physiotherapist and a personal trainer to create programs to increase my strength and flexibility. I'd previously met with physios when I was hurt, and it was fun to go 'between injuries' and ask for help to stay that way.  If you have access to any of those professionals, it is a great place to get a personalized plan that'll work for you.  For the record, the most benefit I realized was through a stretching and improving my flexibility. Now I'm lighter, stronger, and more flexy-bendy...if only I could keep my left shoulder in its socket I'd be flying. 🙃

I've started kung-fu (wing chun style) last year at 56.

It's pretty good for cardio, flexibility (we stretched a lot), coordination, strength for upper and lower body (it needs strong quads).

Bonus : I can think I'm Ip Man or Bruce Lee ha! ha!

I hope one day our paths will cross.  Our battle will be epic!🥋
