  1. Right on! Tanker arrived yesterday and it looks awesome. Thank you!
  2. Riding 173 coiler with hardboots etc and an older ski patroller asked: "That's quite a contraption, what's it for?" Her demeanor and delivery reminded me so much of my mom, it truly made me laugh. A 'contraption'?! Like it's some outlandish rube goldberg machine?
  3. I think I saw you from the chair, but couldn't get in sync!
  4. First time visit to Sun Peaks today. New snow, no crowds, and great runs. It snowed on the groom overnight, so things got choppy later in day...but still. Snow was soft and titanal makes the board cut through that shite nicely. So much fun. Sundowner and Sundancer were an absolute blast. AND I caught a glimpse of another alpine rider. All in all it was a wonderful introduction to a beautiful place. Back again tomorrow (Saturday March 9)...
  5. My son and were driving through seattle when we learned of cancellation. Going home was off the table. So we decided to try something new...we drove to Bozeman today and will try Big Sky for next few days. Holy hanna the lift tickets are pricey. Anyway, if anyone else came this way, shoot me a note! TwofiveO ate89 3ate5five. Thanks, David
  6. Well shoot. Good advice re: rock boards. I'll throw one in the car and maybe reacquaint myself with an old friend (or frenemy, depending on how this goes).
  7. With the low snow pack and possibility of cancellation looming, it was neat to see the chair spinning on the Turner snow cam today. Very exciting. I'm so hopeful! MCC is an adventure for me. Cool place, friendly people, and amazing riders. I've had the good fortune to attend 2, but was injured each time. Quite a downer, but I've tried to learn my lessons and have improved my health and fitness. So the Injuries really sucked but the net impact on my life has been overwhelmingly positive. This year my 18 year old son is booked to join as well. I'm looking forward to sharing the best kind of madness with him!
  8. Last year the road had sections of compact snow and ice. Portions were completely free of gravel...a nice glossy white. IMHO in such conditions it is easy to lose traction without winter tires regardless of AWD, FWD, RWD. But with chains handy, I wouldn't be concerned.
  9. Did you have a price in mind? A closer pic of the tail would be great too.
  10. Omg, that's funny. Thanks for the correction. I'm certain no Virus would ever be made with margarine...they'd use only the best European creamery butter!
  11. Believe it or not,I googled it before adding the comment, and there is in fact cross-hatch parkay. As funny as the joke maybe, the board is beautiful!
  12. Zylon AND parkay? I love it!
  13. A few years ago I had a helmet that sat low, which was fine until I got new bigger goggles. The helmet then pushed my new goggles down on my nose. Super annoying but I otherwise liked the helmet a lot. I ordered a set of helmet pads from AliExpress. I stuck them between the Styrofoam and fabric helmet liner. It solved the problem as the helmet then sat higher on my head. But I learned my lesson and my most recent helmet purchase involved visiting tons of shops and trying on dozens of helmets along with goggles.
  14. No, I don't have the original Head mechanism. But I do have the original mechanism from my Deeluxe 325s.
  15. That's right! And intuition liners and/or original liners, and stainless BTS mounting hardware!
  16. Thanks @fluxgame...still hoping to see them go intact but will be in touch.
  17. Sorry @Yvon just saw your post. Burton bindings are available. Just sent you a PM. Thanks!
  18. I would try it though in my experience it really depends on the specific liner and the shell volume. I've tried four different Intuition liners over the last 2-3 years and the differences are huge, and then some models have high, medium, and low volume options. Intuition says to confirm fit before heat molding, which suggests modest changes in volume through molding. I thought there was a post on the forum where someone mentioned cutting open the toes of their liners for better fit...but for the life of me I can't find it again.
  19. Thanks for your consideration. My goal was to get rid of them...and they're gone.
  20. Price drops! F2 Carve RS standard bail bindings - SOLD Includes cants and mounting screws, but no lifts. I lost one set of the dampening pads, but YYZ Canuck advises the pads are optional and/or you can buy a set there. For those worried about bail entropy, atrophy, or just plain breaking, I barely used these. They were spares, and I love intec. Ride Insano boots – size 9 - $150USD plus shipping I wanted to love these boots. I bought them spring 2023. They have a low profile, short sole length, stiff tongue, intuition liner, cool colour, and double boas! The colour is called ‘Currant’, like Ribena. Unfortunately the double boas and I just don’t get along. I can’t get these great boots to fit my dainty ankles. They have a small amount of wear on the tongues where I used a tongue insert to take up volume. I do not see how that’ll impact usage, but there you go. The liners have not been molded. There are some scuffs on the boots from binding straps, but the soles reveal these have had very little use. I’m back to the Deeluxe Edge, and the Insanos are for sale.
  21. That carrot is the fanciest root vegetable I've ever seen. Looks amazing. I'm on the westcoast near the ocean so don't sharpen so much. Usually very soft conditions. Next sharpening scheduled to coincide with Haleys comets next pass. In the meantime. I'm saving my pennies for the razor tune... https://razor-tune.com/products/razor-tune-basic-tuning-kit
