Tugboater
Hey gang! I was taking a break after riding pretty hard today and noticed my power strap was missing from my back boot. It turns out the anchor ripped out so I'm presuming it's shot. What are my options? Sew it or replace with a new one? Something else? Give me a little guidance please. noschoolrider
I would try to fix/sew it, however you can get new straps on sale at http://upzboots.com/shop/upz-power-strap-shoxxter-1-set-2/ Edited February 17, 2019 by noschoolrider
Tugboater
I can't beat $19. I'll grab a set, the other one is frayed a bit so this is good timing. Thanks! Edited February 17, 2019 by Tugboater
jburk
Booster strap, great replacement for the stock RC10 strap, well worth the $40 https://boosterstrap.com/
pokkis
Sewing broke for me too, fixed it and broke again. Then i bought this one, no issues since that, and it is muuuuch better http://upzboots.com/shop/upz-power-strap-shoxxter-plus-set/
st_lupo
+1 on the Booster straps. I got the world cup ones and use them to strap up the liner not the tongue and they rock!
daveo
I use an Intermediate Booster on my RC10 in the same way that @st_lupo does. Those are now my powder boots. These replaced my UPZ ratchet strap thing (same as Pokkis'), which replaced my stock UPZ one the same as what you broke- mine kind of broke also. I use a G-Style Hyper Hold Strap Set on my Mountain Slope 951 World Cup. These replaced my World Cup Booster, which replaced my stock Mountain Slope top strap. These are amazing. They use a ratchet and a buckle so you can unbuckle whenever you like. Or if you're like me, for every chair. They also have a rubber dampening system. Loving these so much. Wow, no disrespect, but I'd get my feet amputated if I had to do that. I just stuff my feet in the boots and forget them. I guess I'm lucky. Or maybe slower, but every run - seriously, I'd be looking at fixing that, if it was me.

It is not out of necessity and it doesn't need fixing. I just like it that way No disrespect taken. To quote some legend, my boots actually feel like wearing socks.
daveo
It quite possibly stems from athletics. I used to loosen my spikes on the walk back after each run during training. Wow I must have been the worst training partner in reflection. Horses for courses I guess. I copied @pokkis with Zipfits, best decision of my life.
