lonbordin
I have a new to me pair of 425s. After a punch at The Ski Hut and molding my Intuition Plugs I'm satisfied with their fit. A very generous person supplied me with a set of BTS long blue springs, I've been running reds. Hoping to get more forward flex. Today I was riding by myself and really focusing on the feel of everything. It felt like there was a stop while leaning forward. It appears the top of the boot clashes with the lower buckle wire. I'll attach photos... On mobile so I'm doing my best. Anyone ever cut this cuff section out or dealt with this issue? Thanks! Beckmann AG
Removing an arc of plastic in that area shouldn't create any problems. Also consider moving the upper buckle in the photo upward a cm or two. You want to have some cuff material under the buckle cable in that area, otherwise you might wind up with a hot spot on the tibialis anticus tendon. I trimmed a portion of the shell away in an arc. (Actually I did it twice... once wasn't enough) Super easy with large shears.
b0ardski
I set the cant adjusters on my fre69(and old raichles) to the top of their range to alleviate this and relax the flex. I might try a trim or two to increase the flex range on my older pow boots (224s) as well as mod the cant mech to allow for more lateral/medial flex
