www.oldsnowboards.com
You're gonna love this board, I know it for sure. Just as damp, a wolve in sheepclothes. Hans, I went ahead and mounted up my modified BP plate on my 202cm Tinkler Longboard similar to yours. Here are the photos.

Hans
This friday will be send to me: JJ Cypress 163 Sl and Cypress 185GS with new developed stainless steel independant UPM brackets with red new developed UPM JJ Interface. Hope those will arrive for my trip to Kaunertal glacier next week thursday. Here without the new yet to come interface. Real color is better than this smartphone picture from JJ (I hope). I don't find them that nice (in color), I hope they ride better otherwise they are replaced soon  Edited November 7, 2012 by Hans
big canuck
Once you the plate and binders on the look takes on a complteley different tone. The white is a matte white. I was skeptical about the colors as well but its grown on me. K
Mr.E
My SS sliders just arrived. I ended up putting a big piece of sign vinyl on mine to cover the handwritten prototype notes. Crap photos for a rad board.
www.oldsnowboards.com
Erik, what bindings are you going to be using? If you use Bombers we may be able to swap boards on the hill. I run 3 degree front and back with approx 20" center to center spread between bindings. Bryan Current bindings and set-up?: Cateks, Bomber, Proflex, Snow Pros, Phiokka, customs Edited November 7, 2012 by www.oldsnowboards.com
www.oldsnowboards.com
I just happen to have a set of UPM BP mounts to use on the Oxess too! It looks really balanced IMO. The Tinkler 202cm plus all the hard ware is tipping the scales a bit. I am curious what the plate will feel like on a longer board like this. Mr.E
Hey Bryan- Right now all I have is F2 Ti and some Phiokka. 90% sure that I'll go with the F2's- if I've bought this far into the JJA system, I might as well run those, too. Hans
I just changed to F2 bails for my JJ boards to look if they are more suitable than my TD3 SI.

Yep, makes sense and it is a good system with more flex (more forgiving). Look forward to seeing you mid week at MHM.
surlyguy
Its going to be a funny first run this year. New (to me) board that isn't going to turn until your doing 30k/hr, new bindings with different toe heel lift than I'm used to and new UPZ RC10's. Helmet still the same..... glenn
My new ride ( yet to be built )...Graphics inspired and created in collaboration with Ian Mackenzie. Ian is a great guy and has talents, creative and literal. He went above and beyond to come up with the final draft...If you need help with graphics I can recommend him with no reservation! Neil Gendzwill
Looks nice but have you considered how it will look with the bindings on? Your nice line of kanji there are going to be covered up.
glenn
Yep...I did consider that. I think it'll look cool with the symbols disappearing under the binding and then peeking out til they fade... The theme is the beauty of imperfection and embracing that imperfection... Hilux
^ Tastier than coffee by far.... Ian, didn't you ride enough with me last year to know that this is tastier than coffee...well, almost. Thanks for the excuse to let me post a pic of the Mean Bean a year later :D And Eric, sweet JJA ride! I regret not trying one last year. glenn
Glenn that looks stellar! Love the fade and sunburst Coiler leaf too...wah, great job both of you! Thanks Hilux...The basic idea was Ians' and I just added my take on it...Ian is a great guy to do this stuff with. He has good ideas himself and is excellent at giving form to your ideas. AND he doesn't seem to mind adding or ditching details to give you exactly the nuances that you've envisioned...He kept tweaking until it felt just right (I know, that sounds a little "off" doesn't it?). Then, after I thought it was over, he came back with that last shade of color detail that was just perfect!

Looks great. If http://zhongwen.com/zi.htm is reliable, your mantra seems to indicate that between the fifth and sixth instance of "inherit cash" you can afford a Coiler and a calligrapher. Something like that?
glenn
Not quite ohD...I've actually adjusted that. The interpretation of those particular symbols is honor but since I'm not fluent in Chinese I wasn't initially aware that the nuance suggested a banking connotation. I've since consulted a person (actually two people) who are fluent and were "helpful" and kindly corrected my error...And yes, I can afford a Coiler and a graphics designer, but that's really of no importance... OhD
I was just looking them up individually. Each has several meanings, depending on context I suppose, and the two meanings most suitable to a wise-ass interpretation kind of siezed my imagination (why does that always happen to me?). In Chinese as in English, the meaning of a phrase can be various and indirect, or slangy; "body art", "good ****", "greenback", "half-assed" come to mind, along with "chi kuo" (eat bitterness). They don't often translate literally very well, even in closely related languages. Probably accounts for any number of wars and romances....
