Chubz
Folks Are moldable liners washable? Cat took a leak on one of my boots for some reason. Even gentle warm cycle?
emorris
I would use something like this first. Just to be sure that there is nothing left that would lead the cat to do it again. Did you do something to piss the cat off? http://www.pestproducts.com/bac-azap.htm Also, I would think that you could wash them with cold water and air dry. They do get sweat from feet and wet from snow on the other side, so they should be able to hold up to water.
tex1230
I would reccomend shooting the cat, just to be safe

snowboardworm
i'd watch what kind of soap you use. the last detergent i used, got the smell out, but destroyed the glue that held the cloth liner to the foam. i'm thinking that next liners i wash, i'll be using tech wash and i'll be hand washing them. i have 2 cats at 2 different houses that absolutely despise my gear bag. they have peed on it a total of 4 times. yes its now locked up. its been brought to a sports gear cleaner each time to use an enzyme to get rid of the smell. the cleaner said that cats dislike the smell of sweaty gear bags as i'm not the only one who has problems with the cats. Erik J
I'm with tex. ORrrr, you could use the cat as a loufa to scrub the piss off of your boots. That'll teach it a lesson and get your boots clean in one shot. Or skin the cat and use the fur as a new liner for your boots. mmmmmm....warm and fuzzy cat socks. skatha
Vinegar is great for removing smells from clothing. I'd spray the liners with pet de-odor-er and then spray 'em with a 1/2 vinegar, 1/2 water solution and let dry. May need retreatment... A "Hint from Heloise" adapted.... bobdea
FolksAre moldable liners washable? Cat took a leak on one of my boots for some reason. Even gentle warm cycle? what I did was a spray with vinegar and water, let dry then a sink wash with woolite.
Erik J
I've used this on clothes and carpets before with very good results. http://www.thepetstoreonline.com/urine-off-pt-6004-cat-urine-cleaner-urine-stain-remover.html?utm_source=Google_Product_Search&utm_medium=CSE&utm_content=product-UO-00106&zmam=15972152&zmas=3&zmac=63&zmap=UO-00106 I have no idea what the enzymes would do to your liners. Subject of a BBC interview yesterday-somebody had just lost their job with telling British housewives that cats were good in stew.... Chubz
The joke I heard was "I love Cats, but I couldnt eat a whole one" The only dish washer inthis house is my right and left hands Will the vinegar leave a tainted smell Is the woolite in the washer? Cold or warm water and I may just go with hand washing. I tried one of those cat stink sprayers but it didnt work. Hate to say it I have two cats so I wont bring dont the .22 judgement just yet

Woolite in the washer is fine-delicate cycle Cold water is best with Woolite As seen by my mom on a bumper sticker in North Carolina "So many cats, so few recipes" You have enough cats for 2 recipes, a traditional Chinese one and another. Try feline fajitas and let us know how it is...

Wun
why anyone would think the scent of vinegar is an upgrade from cat urine is beyond me. scent-wise, how 'bout baking soda? sprinkle some in your liners, leave it overnight, shake it out the next day. and perhaps sprinkle more inside your liners and inside your socks the next few times you go riding. skatha
well somebody has to sink to the lowest level and say it so it may as well be me.how come so many guys dislike pussy........cat? True story....I was a doc in the USAF a long time ago. One of the PAs was teaching some Independent Duty Med. Tech (Coasties) and they were discussing a patient with an abscess. The student was trying to "present the case" to Kathy and used the term "Pus-y". She asked him to spell the term and he started "p-u-s-s..." and stopped once he realized what it was that he was spelling. I was laughing my ass off by this time and she asked ME how to spell the term. P-u-r-u-l-e-n-t is what I said as there is no such thing as the word "pus-y" to describe an abscess
