Mike T
A 17 cm AM - you planning on riding that puppy in the fluff? Definitely post a pic when it comes! I'll be sure to post one of my AM... 180, 19.5 waist, 12.7 sidecut. Basically a hybrid of the 177 AM and the 180 RC II. Mine is designed explictly for spring snow, on piste and off. It'll likely be my ride of choice on the infamous Mt Hood Meadows "3 inches over groomed" as well.

Such art and to perfection handcrafted board was a must for me to have... Ray Hi, Ray Do you have some specs of this board? Is it the new wide extremecarvingboard of VIRUS? Did you had the opportunity to fit some new VIRUS/UPZboots with Frank? Just curious to wait for the new VIRUS website to come. Just gonna try my new STROLZ Raceplates (boots) this season. Greets, Hans. Hello Hans, NO, this is not the Extremecarving board of VIRUS! This is a 165cm board with a 17.1 cm waist... I (170cm/5'7; 75kg/165lbs) love the shorter boards if they are build the correct way! Yes, I tried the UPZ boot as well and liked em... Jeffrey Day
...I am patiently waiting for: MADD 158, Prior 4WD 159! I've already gotten: a TD2 2nd board kit, a pair of Level gloves & 03/04 Deeluxe Lamans boots! And I'm thinking about: a Donek FC-167 & a set of Catek Olympic Step-ins! Plus I was kinda close to buying Rays' Pogo Impact 168, but it was sold to Brian before I could act on it! What else should I get?

Ray
After successfully testing my Virus Terminator I had no choice but adding a fourth (and hopefully last) carver to my quiver. Waiting for another Virus. A 175 Gladiator Zylon (17.1 cm waist as well). From what I learned about the construction of this beast, I am really excited to ride this puppy. Well, just another week or so…
willywhit
Ray, piqued my interest in the new Virus boards but couldn't find either of the boards you mentioned. 17.1 is skinny like a skwal man. Dragon looks stealthy...
Hagen
...I'm not waiting any more. I got my new TD2 SI bindings just in time before turkey fest so that I could try them out on my first day in the snow for this season. :D ...love 'em! The only problem was that the 3 hole disks are not available yet. And most of my boards are Burtons. So I'm actually still waiting for something - hope the 3 hole disks ship soon... Dragon looks stealthy... The boards (extreme series) are custom build. The Terminator (165/17.1) is a combo of carbon and texalium mesh: <img src="http://tinypic.com/px27t"> The Gladiator "Zylon" is not displayed. It's basically the regular Gladiator shape (175/17.1), but build with Zylon! 17.1 is not really to skinny. With my boot size (26) I ride 63/60 If you want to talk skinny, look at the Black Death II (173/15.1) :D I post some pictures once I have it. Guest Jim Pryor
Interesting thread, well my best new toy is a 2005 Volvo XC90. Boy what a ride. Twin turbo six. 268 hp. The car just hugs the road. Took it up to Mammoth right before Thanksgiving and it was a blast. Will be ordering a new F2 Speedster for X-mas. While up in Mammoth found out my son needed new boots and helmet (ouch!). He is also on a shop team and will need a new board and jacket (double ouch!). But this is the best early season in years so no real complaints. Have fun! jp

Haven't ridden a recent RT, but took the squads out last spring. Personally, I like the 5 better, but then, I am a big boy...either way. I'm sure you'll love it. and the wood/grip tape look is sweet
Guest Ghostrider
I dont think there is a squad 5...there is the flex 4 which is last years board and I guess alot of people were snapping them, so they stiffened it up, hiked the price, gave it back to the team this year and called it the flex 3...sounds like it should be a fun ride though. Oh and I also just got my Burton Bridge Snowdeck today :D Those little buggers are fun! I'm building a little skate park in my back yard for all my buddies to come rip up. ncermak
sorry... my mistake. It was a very foggy weekend for me at killington last spring, and I didn't check my facts before posting... the 3 is 10% stiffer than last years board, the 4 is 10% softer than last years. apparently nobody lliked last years...everyone wanted it either stiffer of softer.
