  1. Dremel do make a cut off wheel for plastic the 476 that works OK. As for how to cut, search the web for the Salomon Shop Practices manual and check out page 62 as it shows how to soften their Course Pro boot. Search here on Bomber too, someone did a great write up of the BTS changes they did including "fixing" the shells rubbing....danged if I can remember who it was! Merry Christmas!
  2. You have mail re the riser plates.
  3. Hello Dragonsword5, Knee Guru has tons of stuff on rehab, be sure to check the forums for tips too.
  4. I wear 10 4E New Balance running shoes and 9EE Redwings boots and the Head boots are fine.
  5. Just an FYI, lots of helmet companies, like Giro, discount the replacement helmet, ....read the info shipped with the helmet!

I use cat tracks, they slip into a pocket so don't need a rack attached to you boot and are cheap at $9...Seirus Cat Tracks at REI
  9. Dr D is correct, here is the reference to the waiver in CA: 17 CCR 6051 (2003) § 6051. Unconditional Admission with Permanent Medical Exemption or Personal Beliefs Exemption You can check your states rules at this site And remember, if doctors knew what they were doing, they wouldn't work in a medical practice :) Regards, UK2TX2CA
  10. Hi paappraiser, Sure, here Google will, I'm sure, uncover many more companies that sell them...that are also know as dancers pads and metatarsal pads - just make sure you get the wide ones.
  11. Hi paappraiser, Having the full insole does not mean that you automatically have a metatarsal bar. The bar lifts metatarsal heads, spreading the bones and releaves the pressure on the nerves which run between the bones. Have a look at the symptoms for a morton's neuroma to see what I'm talking about. I had a numbing in my right foot and it was disgnosed as a morton's neuroma. Adding a bar to my insoles helped a great deal so I thought I would mention it.
  12. Hi paappraiser, About your foot going numb, do you have a metatarsal bar on/under your inserts?
  13. A tip to anyone planning to cut their boards, cheap shaving cream on the cut line will prevent the crap from going everywhere.
  14. Since the fabric will wear off after a time why not use Plasti-dip spray? Plasti-dip website
  15. Here's a link to a Southern Ski Tools page describing using their toe spreader... Regards, UK2TX2CA
  16. An FYI see what fake checks are about: The FDIC site and BankersOnline
  17. Someone posted this suggestion a long time ago ( sorry I can't remember who ), attach a strip of velco across the tail of your board, the fuzzy part not the hooks...anyone riding over your tail will not hit the top sheet
  18. Wotcha Al G, CA has snow like Scotland....white lead... "Sierra cement" is a truth in advertising statement not a catch phrase. Still beats the crap out of Aviemore... If you do go to Denver instead of getting the Skier Express etc from the airport grab a free hotel shuttle and flash the cash to the taxi drivers downtown. They are usually cheaper than the SE and you get dropped right at the door without having to trawl around everyone elses hotel/condo. Breck is way cool, however the alt will KILL you...makes for a cheap night out however a couple of beers and you feel pissed. Martin Drayton....argggh 80 flashbacks!!! Later
  19. I use, and highly recommend, the Dupont Surlyn tape / Skuff Saver from Tongar . I put it on my kids skis at the start of the season and it keeps the skis tops in great condition. I clean the skis with wax remover while warming the film in the oven ( lowest setting with door open ) then use a vacuum bagger to apply the tape so it really fits well with no bubbles....trim with a craft knife and you are done.
  20. I bought a couple of pairs of the HPD from Bomber last year with the plan on using one of the sets in my Stratos Pro's....I found that liked the stock liner so I used the HPD in another set of boots instead.
