BlueB
I saw the race version of the TD3s at Priors shop, last week. Very sweet! I think it will work great for all-mountain riding, too.

Erwin
Could be I spotted them a few months ago, but I didn't say anything as the guy was still testing a prototype. :) What I saw looked really nice and definitely worth a try!
nils
spent the season on them: very good stuff !!! great improvement too for wide EC boards..no more broken bails too :) Nils

BlueB
Very briefly: Independent and probably tunable lateral flex device in between the toe/heel blocks and the base plate.
nils
you have to wait for bomber's official announcement :) Nils

SEJ
The fact that TVR just posted all his Burton bindings for sale might say something.
Erwin
In case you did not notice it already in the Happy Fun Plate thread, I put pictures of the two different models into one image, see attachment.
carvingchef
In case you did not notice it already in the Happy Fun Plate thread, I put pictures of the two different models into one image, see attachment. i saw those pictures and probably everybody else on BOL saw them too, but there is no information about them, can you tell us the differences from the regular TD3
Erwin
probably everybody else on BOL saw them too, but there is no information about them, can you tell us the differences from the regular TD3 Just have a better look at the picture and read the post by BlueB dude. Probably you saw them, but did not have a good look at them...
carvingchef
i looked at the pictures but i can only see so much and Blueb used the word "probably" on his brief description, it would be nice if we had a detailed official description of the TD3 race version
Erwin
A detailed official description will not come from me. However, you can probably see the difference between left and right, right?! ;)
pokkis
If you look left picture toe piece, you see little bit red stuff there, i think that is key here for flex. No i have just seen picture but that is how i think it works :o
carvingchef
i can see how they look different from the pictures, i would like to know how they work different
Gecko
looking left and right it looks like the "race" toe and heel blocks are lower/thinner, longer with more adjustability, and the top has a piece of some sort of polycarbonate on it
big mario
There is a pivot in the center of the toe and heel blocks with an elastomer underneath to allow lateral flex. There are different elastomers available for fine tuning, and it is only available in standard. Fin confiscated my spy camera, so no pictures. Sorry mario
BlueB
There you have it... C. Prior raves about them.
carvingchef
finally we are getting somewhere, thank you guys for posting, i'm sure there is a lot more people interested
minnesnowta
the top has a piece of some sort of polycarbonate on it If you're refering to the black you can see on the top of the toe and heel pieces, that is just duct tape to keep snow and ice from getting compacted into the space around screws.
pokkis
Top black is just "fake" as you see in full pic when you look another binding. It is just additional snow protection. Real story is that slightly glooming red elastomer.
pow4ever
From a noob freeride/freecarve's perspective(in term of td3 vs td3 race). How does it help? Is it softer/stiffer? Is it better suited for icey/rutter up condition? That's one of the few reason why I didn't jump on the TD3 even though I remember reading it that the "non-race" TD3 can be easiy adapted to become the race version. However the extra parts and tuning ability tend to confuse me more than help me. Thanks David
