CruisingAlong
Ok well I looked into shipping a snowboard and unless someone knows of special cheaper way to do it the UPS store is saying about $100 in shipping! Any help?
Steve Prokopiw
Priority Mail is almost always a better deal up to a certain length.Boards in the 185 and below range have typically been less than 40.00 insured when I've sent or received them. RideGuy
Ok well I looked into shipping a snowboard and unless someone knows of special cheaper way to do it the UPS store is saying about $100 in shipping! Any help? Does that include packaging? I just shipped a board to the US using UPS and it was $33.
guido591
USPS Priority is by FAR the most efficient and best-priced option.
Buell
I have shipped a lot of boards with USPS Priority, insured, with delivery confirmation (tracking). Oregon to the east coast runs about $38 to $40 with $400 of insurance. Shorter distance or less insurance will be cheaper. Here is a thread in the FAQ forum on this site that might help. mr_roboteye
I shipped a burner 188 to Minnesota a while ago, and it was only CAN $35 for the 10 business day service. USPS all the way. later, Dave R.
MUD
Make sure you check on the prices..... I have been getting rather high prices out of the USPS lately, on everything. I didn't hear about and rate hikes, but you never know. UPS and FedEx have been cheaper for me lately.
John E
I've shipped boards UPS across the country for less than $30.
Gecko
Bobby Buggs shipped my Coiler RC175 to me in Japan (on base) using USPS....for surprisingly less than one would expect, I wanna say it was $
Corey
Avoid the UPS Store, they charge a lot for the 'service' they offer. Usually 2 to 3 times as much as dropping it off at the UPS depot.
D.T.
The last time I checked, FedEx Ground was the cheapest method within the US. If you are shipping to another country, USPS is cheapest.
carvedog
Ok well I looked into shipping a snowboard and unless someone knows of special cheaper way to do it the UPS store is saying about $100 in shipping! Any help? I used the online calculator and it was $125 for two boards back east. Went to my local shipper guy and it was $33 through UPs ground. The online is broken.
