Hey Alex,I used the 171 in full on powder yesterday.Every time I ride it the board seems more versatile.It made the steep groomers at Schweitzer seem easy(especially after riding the 196 Coiler first)

Here is a heads up for the next season. It will be called RACE. 175 and 182 with around 19cm waist and a lot of pop.

Yes, I am still cooperating with Sean especially on custom shapes (for europe) in addition I am offering the option of a Donek Blade or Razor. In addition I have been setting up my own production in Europe. Sean has been doing a great job but for me in order to sell through shops in Europe I had to establish a local production.

The specs that I am currently exploring for the RACE model are the following:

Length: 175 Effect. Edge: 160 Sidecut: 12 Nose: 243 Waist: 190 Tail: 241

Length: 182 Effect. Edge: 168 Sidecut: 14.7 Nose: 244 Waist: 19.6 Tail: 242

What I found interesting with the kessler boards is that all the new construction comes with a p-tex material on top of the titanal (the black boards you see on the foto). He puts the p-tex to protect the titanal which I thought it was a cool idea and the kessler logo is die cut so you can see the titanal underneath.

Just plain and simple black, I like that. The woven top looks like a sort of carbon? What materials are those boards made of?

It is actually pure carbon top sheet. Same as the BLADE S and the RAZOR S. Inside there is of course a vertically laminated wood core. The base is nanocarbon.

I was interested in the board that had holes in the nose and did some poking around.

Anyone ever been on the Rabanser Titanal?

Interesting design with the holes on the nose. Like some of the Super G skis' they made in late 80's.

I did not know that Rabanser was making the VIST plate.

Where did you get that??? The vist plate is made in the VIST factory!!! I have been there, saw the production and had a chat with the development guys. Georg is making boards in his factory in Italy and he is a really nice guy.

The problem with most european resorts is that although there is plenty of width they are so crowded that making wide turns can cause accidents. The goos thing about WCS is that there was a restricted run that only the participants could have access.

I think most of us that attend the SES in Aspen hope to find similar conditions in europe but that is just not possible!!!! Aspen is the best place for carving :1luvu: :biggthump :ices_ange can't wait til SES2010.

I think when you refer Europe, you dont include places like Zinal, Oppdal and Ylläs to that definition ? due they are most of time really open for real carving experience, as most other less "popular" resorts. I've been 3 weeks on Zinal this season and ECS time was most crowded there, i've been Oppdal sevearal years and most of time it is like on our films.

But i agree Aspen slopes are great and ther eis space but price of lift tickets has lot's of reason for that. I think that on NM slopes you can get more for buck related free slope carving.

Well I have never been to Zinal or Oppdal but I'll take your word for it. I am refering to the most popular resorts in Europe.

Aspen is expensive but at least from the people that are joining me every year it is worth every penny. Maybe because we are getting a large discount on group tickets :eplus2:
