Big Guns: Doug Dryer in town and cover of Aspen Times

Recommended Posts

Doug Dryer from Bend, Oregon stopped by the shop this week on his western tour of the best carve resorts from Oregon to here. Now, I always thought I had a good collection of big decks. For example we actually had 2 Burner 197s at Beaver Creek last Friday. But Doug brought these guns into the shop to make sure we knew who was the boss.

I believe (Doug correct me if wrong) starting from the right: (all Tinklers) 201, 228, 252, 283

We had to photo them in the shop area as the 283 is 9'4" and would not stand upright in the front area.

283 centimeters!!! How does he

- get this thing from place to place? (it sure wouldn't fit in my sport box);

- find enough time to wax the whole thing?

- keep folks off the tip and tail in the lift line?

I was going to ask about going to the airport, but doubt that he would ever let a baggage handler touch it....

I second the motion for specs and some video!!!
