hey guys, so I was digging out the gear for a season of carving, and upon closer inspection I came to find a nick in the topsheet of my RT173. Its near the tail on the heelside. About as long as a nickel is wide and only a few millimetres wide. how might I seal it to prevent delamination before I jump on in in the next couple of weekends?

brilliant marketing scheme, really. how would they sell their boards that go core dead after one season if people didnt have scandalous topsheets to talk about? (that said, my FP is a respectable board, and my clash is a great crud buster, albeit coredead already)

I bought the same exact board over the summer, when you've got some room to open it up it rails. you can pull some pretty tight turns if you really try to decamber it too. great edge hold as well. someone pick this one up:biggthump

haha, otter creek copper ale is pretty good too. those double bags are something else though, you get halfway through a sixer of em and it starts to sneak up on you, by the time you finish the fifth, your in no condition to do anything constructive for anyone. :D

thin wire i'd imagine, alot thinner than any td binding. they remind me alot of my friends phiokka machos.

nils, if you know where i can find some extra bails i would be greatly oblidged. I was a little worried about them, other than the bails though, its a very functional binding.

deffinetly a burton FP from 1999, I have the same slalom board

so I went to my local hill today, warmed up on my SL board, 99 FP with race step ins. I was feeling a little more comfortable, so I broke out my new Renntiger with emery course bindings. all I have to say is wow. my first time on the renntiger ended badly out on a skinny trail at killington, but this time the difference was insane, that board really hooks into the snow, like its on rails. I forsee my technique improving considerably this year. the board itself seemed to want to ride a certain way, so whenever I did something it didnt like, it let me know. wierd eh?

I was there sunday, its pretty accurate. though there are only like 2-3 carveable runs open, the rest it pretty choppy/narrow. I tok out my GS board first run and immediatly switched to a shorter board
