  1. Whatever you said to Harry worked Buell, Rad-Air Tanker 162cm are in the model lineup for next year!
  2. Thanks Ernie, He's going through Plattsburgh NY to some resorts and wants to pick it up in the US to save on costs. I'm trying to find a shop there that will work with me. Know anyone down there?
  3. I have a Canadian snowkite-boarder that wants to keep the cost of shipping/duties/taxes down on a 200cm Tanker that I'm sending him. He lives in Quebec and would like to head to his Southern neighbors to pick it up. Anybody know shops or friends that wouldn't mind accepting delivery of a 200cm Tanker for a few days until he can drop by and pick it up? Thanks, rj
  4. Please help me choose the best logo for exoticboards.com. It will help launch the new online shop and platform. http://99designs.com/logo-design/vote-hcnx3n THANKS!
  5. As far as I know/as far as I've seen, everything coming out of other companies still has camber somewhere. Rad-Air is the only company with a completely rockered board. In this scenario it means the board has a true banana shape from tip to tail with no camber whatsoever. The feedback has been overwhelming so far on them, Rad-Air is no longer producing a cambered Tanker.
  6. I'll admit that I have a vested interest in seeing how the boarder either does or does not acclimate to this new rage, but here is the SIA take on the new tech: "Top Trends – Rocker Hits #1 On the Ski and Snowboard Charts Bigger than Elvis, more revolutionary than the Beatles or Punk Rock, ‘Rocker’ or ‘reverse camber’ technology has electrified the ski and snowboard markets. By working with varying degrees of ‘early rise’ in the tips and tails of skis and snowboards – picture the rise in the bow of a ship – manufacturers can create better float in powder, easier turn initiation in any condition, and more fun for everyone on the slopes." Anyone rocking the rocker besides the Rad-Air team?
  7. I'll check my junk mail. Glad you found a home for it.
  8. checkout the Rad-Air Tankers, a lot of folks on this forum love them. I do, but I'm biased. :)
  9. Ace, need your paypal address. Your profile doesn't have an e-mail address associated with it.
  10. I'm very biased towards the Tankers as I sell them, but you should'nt discount a good freeride/carver board. The 172 or 182 would work great for you and would also allow you to rock the freshies! Good luck on your choice!
  11. The forecast looks GREAT!!! Thanks Randy! Since I'm not familiar with Kirkwood the ticket counter sounds like a good place to meet up. I imagine its right near the bottom of a main lift? The Crew is already up and staying at a ski-n-ski-out in Kwood. Everyone got the spring passes for $69 online, helluva deal! Keep your eyes open on BOL, exoticboards.com, and TahoeCarvers.com for updates. I will keep exoticboards.com updated and try here and TahoeCarvers as well. We are leaving in a few ours to meet up with everyone. See y'all soon!
  12. Yes, its the last week of the year for Kirkwood, better late than never. Resorts can close the day of a phenomenal dump, its all about the number crunchers at that point. Anyway we're hoping for some late season pow and with the great pack from this year, it should be a great impromptu longboard event! Hope everyone can make it!
  13. Totally, I can't ride bulletproof ice at all anymore. Although I must admit I don't miss it.
  14. Hey folks, Got another expression session for longboarders coming up at the end of the month in Tahoe. Here is the press release: Greetings Longboard Riders, Get ready for some PHENOMENAL news!!!! Rad-Air is coming stateside to host the first EVER Tankers-N-Tahoe event. This is an impromptu meeting of Tanker riders from throughout the world. Everyone has been invited from Harry Gunz, Co-Founder of Rad-Air Snowboards, to show up in Tahoe at the end of April for a Longboard Session. He is arriving to the states on the 21st and will be on the slopes of Tahoe from the 23rd to the 26th. The actual Tankers-N-Tahoe event will be Saturday and Sunday the 25th and 26th at Kirkwood (you voted for it, you got it), but you can check the website www.exoticboards.com/tankersntahoe.html to see where everyone will be meeting up and when. There is very little time to get things ready, so move quickly. Riders from all over the world are coming to meet up in picturesque Tahoe, they are coming from: Japan, Switzerland, Canada, and those are just the initial reports we’ve gotten from the rumors that were started in March. It is shaping up to be an event you have to join. Please join me in welcoming Harry to the states for an epic event in Tahoe. WAIT…….Hold on……….. There’s MORE!!! In an amazing turn of events, Harry will be navigating new waters and turning the RAD-Air Tankers in a completely RADICAL direction. As we celebrate together the end of the 2008/2009 season, we can look forward to the 10th Anniversary of the 200cm Tanker for next season. Harry has designed a limited edition 200cm Tanker with a metal topsheet, only 100 were made and they are almost sold out! In fact, the whole line of Tankers have been redesigned from the ptex to the topsheet, the nose to the tail, and Rad-Air is launching the first Converse Camber Tankers starting this coming season, 2009/2010!!! You can wait until next year to ride one, but why? Rad-Air is almost completely sold out of the limited edition Tanker 200s already. Better get there and demo a new Tanker to see what all the fuss is about! I would say it’s a risky proposition to bet the famous Tanker lineup with a completely new design which goes all the way back the very roots of our sport, but that is why Harry continues to be able to make snowboards after 23 years in the industry; he’s constantly innovating!!!!! There are a lot of events that you can pass on, but not this one. Do whatever you have to do to make it to this event. Walk, Drive, Fly, Run, just get to Tahoe at the end of April. The memories we make will last a lifetime. See you there! RJ RJ Sakson Rad-Air North America 209.201.7926 rj@exoticboards.com
  15. Hey all, Just found out a 20 year old snowboarder died at my home mountain last week. She was slightly off run with her brother when they were separated. When found she was face down in a tree well and could not be resuscitated. Lets be careful!!! Especially if we're lucky enough to have some serious pow days.
  16. Got a text from Hugh a little bit ago saying they've been running into some white stuff already on the way up. They left from the Bay Area this morning and were heading straight up. Bout a 9 hour drive. I'll be leaving around 6-6:30 and showing up in the am. Can't wait to meet up with everyone tomorrow (maybe only a half day for me) for some turns.
  17. I can send the spreadsheet to anyone attending OES, just send me your e-mail. You can buy for you, your uncle, little Suzy, anyone, but it must be cash and at OES. I need to move on some stuff, so the deals are great, but only for 5 days. After OES the prices are no longer in effect, except you quick movers will be smiling with some shiny new toys.
  18. So here's the score, Harry Gunz, Co-Founder of Rad-Air Snowboards and I would like to meet up with the Tahoe Crew in April. We're looking at some dates, but not solid on anything yet. Few more things have to fall in place. Now we're the visitors, so we'd like some input on what y'all think is the best mountain for Tankerin'. I put up a poll at http://www.exoticboards.com/tankersntahoepoll.html, which I threw up on the fly. You can chat here on Bomber, there at exoticboards, tahoecarvers, anywhere, just make sure to vote the poll so that we can be assured the Bomber crew has their say. Thanks, looking forward to OES and then Tankers-N-Tahoe! RJ
  19. Hi y'all, Due to some good fortune/karma/angels/whatever, I'm going to be hitting up OES again this year. I'm bringing everything and the kitchen sink that I can fit in the SUV. If you want a list now shoot me an e-mail and I'll send you an excel spreadsheet with most of the stuff and bro deal pricing. I'm going to play car salesman, this stuff has got to go. Cheers, RJ

  21. I think you'll find some argument from the SG crowd. :) Podiums don't lie.
  22. The Neo is more of Rad-Airs all-mountain for the masses board. It comes in the typical lengths and flexes of all-mountain/freeride boards. It takes over for the POD in the Rad-Air lineup. I'm all out of the LSDs stateside, but I may be able to import a few from across the pond if there is interest. RJ
  23. ExoticBoards is no longer carrying Dupraz Snowboards.
  24. There are some major business challenges that come upon small businesses, and success is one of them. Success can easily break a company if they are not careful in how they choose to grow. By trying to work with what they have, Catek will keep their costs down and allow them to stay in business. If they would choose to buy a few more CAD machines, extra warehouse space, employees/training, and advertising, we could see them go out of business very quickly. As it is, we wait longer for explanation/feedback, but like others have said....we get the product. The introduction of softboot bindings took Catek into a marketplace that sorely needed their product and they have grown astronomically because of it. Lets hope they continue to choose appropriate growth. And....looking at this from another view.....lets hope they continue to make products for our niche as well. They could just decide to go softboot and then we'd all miss out.
