  1. If I'm not mistaken the heel bail failed. The ends of the bail are threaded and they screw into the lugs. it looks like your bail failed leaving the threaded piece in the lug. I imagine you'll need a bail and a lug. dave
  2. Hello - I'm writing about the 224 boots. Can you please email me a few photos and let me know your price?

Also - if you don't mind can you please tell me the boot sole length? It should be listed on the side of the heels.

    Thanks so much -

  3. The first and last bump - someone must have some shells they aren't using. dave
  4. I watched the GS last night on Peacock and while it was fun to see them doing their thing the camera work didn't show the course or the racing very well. The cameras were so focused on filling the screen with the rider that one lost all context. It was hard to get a feel for how fast they were going or to tell who was leading at any given time.....hell - it was impossible to even tell how the course was shaped and if there were any offsets to it or if it was a dead straight fall-line course. I shouldn't complain....seeing it at all is pretty cool. But with a few subtle tweaks it would have been much more engaging and fun to watch. As an aside it looked like there must be a rule that every rider must use yellow boots. It looks like those guys have a 90+% market share for the world cup. It makes me want to try them! dave
  5. You are correct - I misunderstood where he was going and my quick skim gave me the impression that it was how to pick a spring weight and not where to get them. My bad....I apologize. I order from McMaster all the time and will pick some up soon and do some experimenting. Thanks for bearing with me. dave
  6. Thanks....I have the medium blue springs now and would like to go with the stiffer red and Bomber is out of the red's....so I'm hoping that someone might have a pair that they are not using. dave
  7. Thanks all - I got hooked up with them this morning. dave
  8. I'm trying to send an email to Oxess and it appears I'm not having much luck. The Oxess website seems to be very old (pricing is from 2014) and most of the email addresses just bounce back and the few that haven't bounced have not generated a reply. Does anyone have a solid and current email address for Oxess? dave
  9. Just what the title says - I'm looking for a pair of the stiff red long toe springs for the Bomber BTS kit. Can anyone help me out? dave
  10. I'm looking for a pair of Raichle 223/224/225 boot shells in a size 27.5 - these would have a boot sole length of 295mm. I don't need any liners. If you have tongues I'll take them but if you don't that's fine too. Hell - I'll even take them without any buckles or sole pads. I really just need the bare shells. Who's got a pair sitting around collecting dust?? Thanks so much. dave
  11. I also have a K168 and it is the real deal. I love it. dave
  12. Thanks - I figured that the radius was in the 10-11 range and I'm looking for something a bit longer. I'll bet this one is fun though. dave
  13. I apologize if I missed this....but what it the sidecut radius on this board? dave
  14. I would try moving the anchor of the cable down a notch on the shell so that you are using the first or second slot on the end of the ladder instead of the 5th or 6th. dave
  15. The Peacock app has all the racing available. dave
  16. I'll take a different tack on this one....I think it's entirely possible that your quads are plenty strong but that you are holding your breath while you ride. It's amazing how many people do this while concentrating on form or technique or terrain. Try riding while breathing rhythmically....breathe in on a toe turn and out on a heel turn.....or find your own tempo. I'll bet that if you consciously breathe and those big hard worked muscles get ample oxygen that you'll feel much stronger for much longer. I hope that helps. dave
  17. My home mountain is Bridger Bowl in Montana. Bridger is not sure exactly what the operating plan will be for the season at this point and they say that if you buy a pass and don't like the plan when announced that you can get a refund up until late November. That seems more than fair so I committed to a pass. I expect that most areas will be operating at a different level this season....or until a vaccine is introduced. I wouldn't count on food service, group lessons, pubs/bars....etc. I imagine that many will set limits on the overall number of people on the hill at any given time. I wouldn't be surprised to see lottery systems put in place to limit the number of people on the hill. I assume they will all require face coverings and will keep it to one person on a double chair and no more than 2 on triples and quads. It's going to be 'interesting' to say the least. dave
  18. This photo shows porn from this past season and well as the season before. I typically leave my gear up at the hill in my locker and never think to take a photo but the shut down this year has all the gear home for a change. From left to right - - Custom Kessler 168 Slalom delivered late 2018. The sidecut radius is a bit longer than normal with an average of 12.5m and it's stiffer than stock. This thing is so damn versatile. It will happily carve super tight turns on very steep slopes of you can let it run and make GS turns and it just holds on. Lots of fun on the weekend when I have to share the groomers with other people. - Custom Kessler 180 GS delivered late 2019. This board was designed to have GS hold at speed but at the same time allow a bit more finish to the turn. The average radius is a bit shorter than stock at 15m and it has less taper. Built to my stance width and weight. The edge hold and control is crazy good. Damp but not dead. It will turn hard and deep if you want but will run happily too. This is my go to board on weekdays when the hill is empty and I don't feel like I need to take up so little space. Best board I've ever ridden. - Oxess 169 BX. Bought used just after the lifts shut down for the season. Built in 2017 with a 17m radius. I did have some great hikes with it ripping down old groomers with everything from cat tracks to foot prints to windblown and it feels to be unflappable. I'm super excited to get it out in the fall. It's sad to put them all away but at least the cycling is getting good around here now. I road my MTB yesterday in short sleeves and it was 72°. If you can't be carving this will do. Be safe out there everyone. dave
  19. Very cool. I use mine the same way. I also have a 200 and it's a ball on super deep days and it's shockingly good at railing a groomer. Have fun with your new ride....and thanks for the kind words about me work! dave
  20. These things are flat-out awesome. I've ridden a Tanker 187 as my everyday board for many years and they float awesome and carve better than they have a right to. Mine has held up to plate binding use without issue. Whoever gets this will be smiling. dave
  21. I have one located - so I'm all set. Thanks. dave
