  1. The reason is that the TD2s come with a custom head bolt that is 16mm in length. The head on a standard M6 flat head is a 4mm wrench but the custom ones come with a 5mm wrench socket. You can not apply enough torque with a 4mm wrench without stripping out the socket. The #3 phillips head actually allows more torque to be applied to the bolt. Since the custom screws are really expensive to make and they needed to be 20mm length for the suspension kit the phillips ones work fine.
  2. Did you use the bolts that came with the heels or the ones that were on the standard heel? If you used the bolts in the standard heel you'll have a space. You need to use the bolts that came with the Intec heels. ->Ben
  3. I should READ what I write sometimes. It should be synthentic. Sorry about that.
  4. Make sure that you lube the head of the bolts with a synthetic grease. Something like Pedro's Syn Grease will work well.
  5. I feel that the shell size is actually a little smaller since the stock liner is so thin. When I ordered mine I told Dan my size in a Raichle and I ordered the same size in the UPZ. Which makes sense if you are sticking with the stock liner. But I took out the stock liners and replaced with some Thermoflex liners and my feet are nice and comfey now. I think the Termo liner was able to accomadate for the size. I certainly wouldn't downsize. IMHO.
  6. The last generation Burton Fire and Wind have removable toe pieces. However, unlike the UPZ they are T-nutted to the boot. On the UPZ the toe attaches with screws that thread into the plastic of the boot. There is a ledge in the front of the boot that holds the toe on but that's it. This is why I replaced the stock screws with tee-nuts and button head cap screws on my UPZs. ->Ben
  7. Damn that sounds tasty. Got my reservations in the other day. Don't want to miss out on this one. Jack, I want to be first in line for the Prior WCR metal. Want to see what it's all about.
  8. Congrats Sean! Can't wait to see a Donek on the podium in Turnino. Gorgone is like a local hero to us here in Massachusetts. Also a big congrats out to Mike at PTC who has been tuning her boards recently. The proof is in the pudding.
  9. Yea, I just noticed this thread. I have been talking to Mike about the board but I didn't realize that he was only 130 Lbs. I agree that the board will be too stiff for him. No worries Dave I'm not upset. I know you just want me to keep all my COILERS. :-) ->Ben
  10. Look to the chin and don't direspect number one two. :-) Remeber that Jake Plumber and Peyton Manning are big game chokers.
  11. You got attention becuase the 10 people before you posted something related to the post. The post was about carving soundtrack and yes there was a contraint placed on it. That being that it had to be avaliable on iTunes. No one asked if iTunes was good or not. BTW why do you hate Apple so much? I find that most are just jealous that they make so damn much money. Plus they make a pretty good product. If you don't like 'em don't buy there stuff. Just don't go around and spout off about how much it sucks. Why does it suck? ->Ben
  12. 1. Comfortably Numb - Scissor Sisters 2. Beer - Reel Big Fish 3. Brown Derby Jump - Cherry Poppin' Daddies I would have put Rock and Roll Part Two by Gary Glitter as one too but not avaliable on iTunes.
  13. Bob, thanks for the lead. I sent him an email. Regards, ->Ben
  14. Wait a sec. You ride with heel lift on both bindings? So you are riding in starters blocks? I would definitly say that this is your problem. I would start with putting toe lift in the front and heel lift in the rear.
  15. I assume that are you talking about the Burton bindings. If so then read on Well, the binding screws that attach the binding to the board would have to be M6x16mm with a phillips head. Part number 90258A285 at mcmaster.com. As for the cant screws I bet they are M6 too but I do not know the length as I don't have them. But if someone has them they can measure the length as shown in the attached photo. If you are talking about the TD1s then that is something else, and the TD2s would be something else too. So... let me know and I'll see what I know. But I know what both of those are for both the binding to board and cant screws. ->Ben
  16. No problem I do not use loctite but instead use Pedro's Syn grease on the threads so that I can get proper torque on the bolts. I check them every day before I ride with a 4mm hex key and I have never had a problem with them loosening up. They will loosen a little at first but eventually they will settle down. ->Ben
  17. They are both M5 bolts but the front ones are 35mm and the back ones are 30mm. The standard bolts that come with the INTEC heels are 20mm. You can get them with a 4mm hex socket cap if you would like at www.mcmaster.com. The 30mm ones are part number 92290A254 and the 35mm ones are part number 92290A256. These are both stainless steel and as long as you keep them tight they are not likley to break. ->Ben
  18. Yes, it's still avaliable. I'm not sure how it relates to a FC 163. Never had one or ridden one. But I know how Bruce measures his stiffness rating but I am not sure how Sean measure his. Plus Bruce's measurement is not indexed for length. I would say that it is softer then an FC but it does carve real well. ->Ben
  19. There is a page for the race in syndication here: http://easypush.com/Jeep/detail.aspx?aid=1006&sts=all&gobtn=&cid=127
