I find it much easier to finnagle my way out of a bad situation in soft boots....not to mention that i can carve pretty damn well on my donek sasquatch 170. But I cant beat the stability of a long board capable of a locked in turn on hardboots for wide open carving.
I would go with the taller palmer plates. The burtons are too low. I run the palmers on my donek incline and they work well to a degree. Another solution would be to buy a donek sasquatch...great for carving and you can spin 180s too lol.
BTW if you want burton lifters i have a set i can sell you for less than new. (never used)
ill be there on Saturday. oh yah...after almost a month off. too bad I need to sharpen my edges but I dont trust anyone around there to doit. anyone know anyplace qualified around hunter, nyc, or central jersey?
so i booked in the inn to save some money...and i got a call today that because of the group rate i get to save another $30. i'm starting to like this sugarloaf.
